It was a night of talking books, novels, manuscripts, congratulations and writing in general.
On Saturday 27th January, the 2006 Aurealis Awards was held at the Judith Wright Centre in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Once again, it was an amazing turn out with writers and readers from all over Australia gathering for the biggest night for Australian speculative fiction. Hundreds turned up for the night of glamour and networking, proving that Australian spec-fic and science fiction was still extremely popular to readers young and old.
Special congratulations to Sean Williams, Edwina Grey and Will Elliott on winning their Aurealis Awards. Well done!
Also to the talented Kim Wilkins who was MC for the evening. (Thanks, Kim!)
And a big 'thank you' and a round of applause to Kate Eltham and the Fantastic Queensland team for making it another successful night!
