Welcome 2009

We’ve finished recording the Man of Aran soundtrack and it should be mixed and finished by the end of January.

It features mostly brand new music, plus re-worked versions of True
Adventures, The Great Skua and North Hanging Rock and a cover of Jeff
Alexanders song “Come Wander With Me”, which was sung by Bonny Beecher and featured on the 1964 Twilight Zone episode “Come Wander With Me”.

A concert is pencilled in to perform at London's British Film Institute for 23rd of April, and a DVD release will follow shortly after.

More news on that soon.

In the meantime, we will be dusting ourselves off in February to play two venue opening shows.

Sat 14 Feb – Liverpool 02 Academy
Sun 15 Feb – Derby Rockhouse

Yan and Noble DJ Set

Mathew Horne (Gavin and Stacey) has asked us along to DJ at the opening night of his clubnight for XFM.
5th Feb at Motherbar, 333 Old Street, Shoreditch

Wow!
I didn't realise you were doing this live.

I've seen that film so many times. Robert Flaherty was some epic film-maker. I think '...Aran' is far better than the more famous "Nanook of the North".

Anyone interested should check out Martin McDonagh's play "The Cripple of Inishmaan" which is a fictionalised version of the events surrounding the casting of the 'documentary' (it's seen as a docufiction film), "Man of Aran". It's quite funny.
