There appear to be many bands vying for the name deleted scenes, or some variation thereof. I figure we were the first to myspace it, and if it doesn't exist on myspace (as they said of TV) it doesn't exist. So far we've been alerted of a deleted scenes from Denmark, Oregon, TX, and somewhere else in the midwest (who can keep track?). There's also a DJ, and I'm sure some Omaha-based collective, named deleted scenes. I guess when you choose a cliche as your name, you're bound to fall short of uniqueness. But we're sticking to our guns, although they're only made of plastic, and have that telltale orange tip. I guess the pressure is on to get signed, have a lawyer, provide the soundtrack to a VW commercial, get mashed up with your favorite lesbian techno artist, and establish Trademark viability in all fifty states.
