We had a great time, great. Even when it started raining it hardly mattered. The sprog ran round in fairy wings, with a face painted like a panda, pretending to be a tiger. The Inspector hasn't stopped playing the guitar since.
Nizlopi - Very fresh, I've always thought that Luke's poetry was funky and I thoroughly enjoyed their set.
Biltone - A real pleasure and a great find. Oddball music with a Hansome Family attitude.
Rory Mcloed - The real discovery of the day, how did i not know about him before I feel like such a nerd. A fella of huge coolness, requiring the purchase of cds and more gig watching. Ace
Kate Rusby - very sweet, she sang at my wedding (she didnt realise it but she did, cds are very helpful) Her voice is gorgeous but I think she needs to stretch herself a bit though. Don't want to be the status quo of the folk world.
Martha Tilston - She's lush, very exciting to listen to, as was Jim Moray, very jiggy.
Moseley's own Old Dance School were brilliant, really lively and great musicians. Men an Tol were also very listenable.
Davy Graham, fingerpicking legend, was pissed as the proverbial fart and meandered his drunk way through some pub ditties before staggering off the stage. Embarrasing.
We didn't get drunk, we even took flasks of coffee, like old farts, sitting on deckchairs, but we had a really relaxed and interesting weekend. Worth every dripping wet penny.
