He's a good actror in movies - he's not so good at acting a real person. It's the chat shows and interviews that really make my teeth itch. He smiles very scarily.

That was very good Pat. I can't speak for all Americans, but I was around when this movement began in the 80s and it is fine and all as they don't proselytize and they are not into injecting themselves into the government much as of yet, but you know what they say about the camel getting his nose under the tent, right? It's not long before his big fat ass is right up under there with you. At any rate, it is sad what has happened to Tom, as it's hard to take him seriously now. Many see him as a freak. John Travolta however is as well into Scientology and he seems cool. Perhaps it's because he knows how to respect others. I really do think poor Tom needs a cat scan though. Poor man. It saddens me because I grew up with his films and know he's capable of so much more. Take care Pat and though I don't know if you in any way Irish or not, I'm part myself so find a pot of gold come March 17th.

G-d wants us to discuss the issues and the more controversial, argumentative, apologetic or debatable the better. This is because G-d wants to be the one who answers your requests directly. Even if there is a controversy between what the nations believe and what G-d has said, "He will plead with all flesh" (Jeremiah 25:31). But again, it should be done in a respectful manner!

Hosea 4:1 tells us also that G-d has a controvery with the land because there is "no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of G-d." When situations become dire, G-d takes action and is ready and willing to give an account to G-d's people in order to assure them that their beliefs hold true, that G-d's mercy is still evident and abiding, and that true wisdom and knowledge (the real answers) come only from G-d. G-d asks, "what have I done unto thee and wherein have I wearied thee?" (Micah 6:3) Rather than testify against G-d per se, G-d wants to put forth our controversy so that G-d can answer.

Condell doesn't want debate, he wants to offend in order to make a name for himself. Condell is just a big mouth with a chip on his shoulder; wicked old wolf whom has had his teeth broken and his claws filed down through a lack of achievement.

Telling an Atheist that he/she is immoral is pathetic after how immoral the big religions are. If there was a heaven then it would be the Atheists that end up there. The Christian Bible specifically states that non believers are evil, but take a look around, and the evil comes from those who believe. I'd still like to hear of a major terrorist catastrophe that was the doing of an Atheist. But I won't, because there isn't one.

1. God

Scientology teaches that God can be whoever you want him to be. (AMG Enc. pg610) Individual Scientologist are free to intrepret God in whatever manner he or she wishes, because, "His exact nature can't be determined, since the church of Scientology holds that each person must seek and know the 'Divine Nature' in and for himself."(Scientology pg. 17)

The Holy Bible teaches, He is the Only God (Deuteron. 4:35). There is one God and one mediator between God and human life, that man is Jesus Christ. (1 Tim. 2:5)

2. Jesus Christ.

Scientology teaches Christ was only a teacher, who is rarely mentioned. They of course deny Christ is God, saying "the historic Jesus was not nearly the sainted figure he is made out to be." (Hubbard, Student Briefing OT VIII, ser. 1)

Christianity teaches Christ was God in human form, He is the Savior to the whole world. Mary would give a virgin birth and this child would be called 'Immanuel', which means "God with us" (Isaiah 7:14) . If Christ has not been raised from the dead, faith would be futile or meaningless (1 Corinth. 15:17). He saves all who come to God through him. (Hebrews 7:25)

3. Sin.

Scientology teaches there is no good, there is no evil. Goodness and badness are nothing than considerations or just ones opinion.(Phoeniox Lectures pg.180 Scientology Axiom 31). The founder of Scientology stated himself, "It is despicable to tell a man he must repent, that he is evil" (Hubbard, Authors Bulletins pg. 31)

Christianity teaches sin is what separates us from God(Romans 3:23). If we claim we have no sinned, we make God out to be a liar and God's word has no place in life(1 John 1:10). If we claim to be without sin, we decieve ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8).

4. Salvation

Scientology teaches salvation comes through personal spiritual enlightenment. Salvation is achieved through practices and techniques of Scientology, the ultimate goal is to realize one's true nature as an 'immortal spirit or a thetan'(beliefnet.com). Another way to salvation is to increase mental awareness.

Christianity teaches Salvation is for all those who believe in Christ, you will be saved(Acts 16:31). Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but who does not believe in God's son, Jesus, stands condemned (John 3:18). It is by grace you have been saved, through faith. Not by our works, Salvation is God's gift (ephesians 2:8-9).

5. The Afterlife.

Scientology teaches rebirths will continue until the person confront all traumas that occured to their lives, past and current. Rebirths continue until one realizes their true nature as an immortal spirit. Achieveing this state allows their spirit to escape the cycle of birth and death. Which allows them to become equal to God's stature(beliefnet.com). Scientology founder Ron Hubbard was quoted, "I never said I didnt believe in a Christian Heaven, but there was something certainly corny about Heaven."

Christianity teaches man dies once and after that faces judgment (Hebrews 9:27). When the Lord Jesus is finally revealed in Heaven, he will punish those who do not obey God and the gospel. They will be eternally punished and shut out from the presences of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10). To all those who believe, the Lord and all of heaven will rejoice over all those who repent(Luke 17:5). He is waiting for you. (Luke 15:11-32)

Don't put your faith in a religion made up by a fiction author. They're paid to make up stories and the author/founder of Scientology was out to do just that.
 

I was disappointed to hear that Will Smith was suckered into that cult. As with all religions, its premise is a crappy work of fiction and all they want is our money.

I couldn't get the video to work, but I have studied Scientology in most entirety. Before I became an Atheist I was looking to start the perfect cult. I thought Catholism and Scientology did a great job controlling people with their laws, power, and money. I look grouchy in my picture, I scanned the most recent photo of me.
