Do you want to stop the Bush administration's imperial aims?
Do you want to stop the supply side economics that make the rich richer while the rest of us struggle ever harder just to get by?
Do you want to stop the Bush administration's aims to place the tax burden of the rich onto the rest of us?
Then register and vote accordingly.
Vote the Bush Poodles out of Congress.
In my state, CA, registration ends on Monday October 23rd.
I don't know when it ends in your state, but registering sooner rather than later is always better.
Be part of the solution
You may need to register if you have moved or you didn't vote in the last presidential election, but especially if you've never registered before,
And then help your friends and family register.
We need every American (who can legally do so) voting this year.
Tell your friends and loved ones etc. that you will help them register. Go to Post Offices (throughout the nation) and libraries (in our state-- again I don't know about yours) and get the mail in forms. Those who register at this time might not get the sample ballots and they might have to vote provisionally, but they will be registered if they mails in the forms on time.
Help loved ones to get absentee ballots if they need them, and if they're in a nursing home make sure the ballot is filled out the way they want and you deliver it to the mailbox for your relative. Ballots are often stolen by staff in nursing homes.
The November weekday voting date makes it harder for the poor, the elderly, and stay at home mother and even working people especially those with children, to vote.
Do what you can for your friends and relatives to help them get to the polls. Don't leave it to chance that they can get there.
Babysit.
Drive them to the polls. Some local parties do not have the staff to pick up all people needing rides to the polls on freezing November days.
We can do this ourselves because we want to get our nation back on track.
