i thought it was good but kind of weird. It had a good resemblance to the book but the book was better. I couldn't help but laugh at Edwards face expressions. and too many ten year old girls screaming for edward in the cinema.
but it was pretty good at times especially the end

Currently reading the book, which I can not put down. Comes out in our town this weekend and I am so excited but have promised myself not to see it until I finish the book. The line up of actors are fresh and will be loved immediately. No more typing, reading time.

it was good but the book was better....just because in the movie everything happened so fast like edward and bella met and fell in love in like 2 days. and so much stuff was missing but if they put everything in then it would have to go for hours and hours.

It was good.
Some scenes were actually quite funny even though I don't think it was intended.
The guy who plays Chief Swan is hilarious.
Don't compare it to the book too much though.
4 stars out of 5.

The twilight movie is an epic success. Apart from this movie being different then the book it is amazing. I think some people only didn't like the movie because they had to high standards after loving the book.

Jasey Rae;
I loved that the quotes were direct from the book, with minimal changes.
More key scenes could have been left in there (such as the blood-typing bit, etc), and I wish there were more of the other Cullens and/or Jacob.
The baseball scene was my favourite. It was so well done with the fast-slow actions and it fit in excellent with Supermassive Black Hole.
(The soundtrack was amazing)
All up I'd say true Twilight fans would love it, but people just seeing it for the vampire action will hate it.
I am just as divided with the movie as I am the book.
But it worked out well.
Maybe have some more special effects or something next time?
And more of the Cullen clan/Jacob kthx :)

I loved the book i was so engrossed some days i would sit and read for hours at a time without even noticing, I throughly enjoyed the movie I thought that black curtain did a fantastic job organizing the whole thing. The movie certainly lived up to my expectations, I didn't want it to end, I will wait now with great anticipation for the next movie of which i have no doubt will be just as good if not better than the first. To Stephanie Myer all I can say is thank you the way you describe Twilight as a place to zone out in our own little world couldn't fit it better thats exactly what it is and what is desperately needed.

I was really shocked. I thought i was going to be disappointed, because movies are never as good as the books and whatnot.
But I actually enjoyed this. Alot.
I loved Jasper's facial expression.
:D
*Agrees with everyone else, the immature little girls giggling when Edward comes on and in the kissing scenes.

Twilight has to be the greatest film of a book ever made. Although difficult to include every detail of the book, the portrayals of all the characters were amazing. Especially Bella and Edward themselves, creating the perfect lion-to-lamb relationship that the book has. The only fault was the inability to include every detail that the book described. Great movie.

A genuine love-story with a wicked twist just at the right moments it's about time we had a movie like this. I didn't feel the characters were out of place or plain woody they excelled well and breathed some good life into it. Has it's romantic story plot down to a pat without over doing it. Nice injection of humor even if un-intended. The occassional cheesy moment was a bit much but for a teenage type audience it fits well.
I'm seeing it again tomorrow! haha

When going into the cinema I was so nervous. Would Edward be the way I had imagined him? Would the director have taking out important scenes or added unnnecesary things? But my worries were for nothing. The choice of characters were superb. The direct quotes from the book made it even better for those who had fallen inlove with the novels. Each character had the personalities that matched those in the books and the scenery was beautiful. Although a few things were switched around and the prom scene at the end was outside, overall the cast and crew turned the novel into a work of art on screen.

it was really great, but catherine hardwick didn't emphasize the importance of the lullaby enough, and she didn't put in the part where edward says something like "its twilight, the safest time of day for us"
but other than that..IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!
advanced screeening was great, thanks black curtain!

I watched the movie last night and it was....how should I put this. It was shit. There were hundreds of what I call "King Kong" moments, this is were that hairy animal from the movie in a white dress, and the ape, stare into each others eyes as if they were ready to have little human/ape children. The constant repition of Bella and the other dude stareing at each other and saying "I love you" bored the common watcher with slow movie progression syndrom. Not only that but the fact that it took this chick about half of the movie to figure out that his a vampire would made me near beleive that this chick is borederline fucking retarted. Only scene in the WHOLE of the movie that I give kudos to is the "Baseball" scene. Other than that the movie is slow, repetitive and unworthy of any such praise. I can now see why the studio that owns the rights to the movie has cut the director from the sequal and given the script writing job to another, hopefuly more detailed, skillful sript writter which is yet to be named. Therefore I bring to the conclusion that I have seen the movie and simply think it sucked. Theres my two cents on the topic.

I thought it was a really great movie, as well as a book adaptation. When going to see this movie, I had an idea of what I wanted, based on what I'd read in the books. The movie was completely differet than what I expected, but in a good way. Acting by Pattinson was particularly good, and the "humans" carried the roles well and provided some of the funniest lines in the movie. People who are fans of the books but not of the movie must realise a movie must be commercially viable to people other than book fans, and I believe that even people who aren't fans will enjoy it. Could have had some scenes from the book (like the blood typing), but the substituted material was very well suited. Great movie because it appeals to many groups. Highly reccommended.

Twilight = EPIC !
After reading the books.. i was ready for this to fail.. i didn't think they were going to produce it right. But luckily they didn't completely screw it up ! Some of the actors could have been better.. but i know that's not exactly their fault. Some of the characters sometimes looked a little constipated (Jasper & Edward).
I don't think fans of the book will be disappointed but people who have not read the book may get a little lost along the way. There isn't really any explanations about the characters.. you're kind of expected to know it already (eg. Jasper's ability isn't mentioned throughout the whole movie). Some of the great quotes from the books were skipped, and anyone looking for "I Love You"'s, sorry there's none of that in there either.
There is however some great lines not featured in the book, I know many people HATED this line but I LOVED it "I had an adrenaline rush.. it's very common. You can Google it!" It provides the comic relief the film needed, the Forks High students did this too. Another thing I wasn't expecting was how un-annoying Jacob was, and Taylor was the PERFECT Jacob ! It'll be sad to see him go.. if the rumors are true.
The baseball scene.. having Muse in the background was the best decision ever ! Jasper and Emmett OWNED this scene ! I had my expectations about this scene and the film absolutely blew them away ! You have to see the film, even if it's just for this scene ! Its just.. amazing ! Rob Pattinson's song playing at the end of the fight scene is.. words can't describe it. The prom scene was a little too short, but I loved how Edward said "I leave you alone for one minute, and the wolves descend." Kind of makes you think to the next movie.. maybe gets people speculating (the ones who haven't read the book, or spoilers!), and i loved how they set it up for the next one..
Now, everyone has an opinion about the 'dazzle/shine' effect.. and I have to say, the first time i saw it I didn't think it looked that bad.. i couldn't see why people were complaining about it. But the second time.. it did look like he was sweating.. maybe the first time i was just too "dazzled" like Bella.
Overall, I thought the movie was above average.. considering it's a book adaption.
The only thing I would have liked to see was more Cullen Family screen-time ! And maybe more interaction between the high school characters or Charlie.
But i know they had to cut it somewhere but it honestly didn't feel like two hours !
Rating: 4/5
Thanks to Black Curtain Au for organizing it ! I'll definitely be seeing it again in the next week ! (Hopefully without screaming like when I saw it the week before !)
And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..

I loved the movie.
I went into the cinema expecting it to be terrible because of what everyone told me, but after I loved it. I loved Rob's facial expressions, he did actually make a good Edward. I loved how James, Laurent and Victoria came into the story. I wish they hadn't changed the scene where Bella and Edward first kiss, or left out the blood typing one.
I didn't exactly like the way they made Edward 'dazzle'. At one point it really looked like he was sweating a lot. The baseball scene was one of the best scene's. I loved Jasper and Emmett in it. Carlisle was great as well. The fight scene in the ballet room, was deffinately the best. I didn't expect it to be too good, but it was brilliant.
Taylor was a great Jacob and kind of wished he had more screen time, as well as the rest of the Cullen family.
The soundtrack for the movie was great, I loved it ;D
Over all, I was pretty happy, more than happy, after seeing the movie.
It wasn't as good as the book, but it was an adaption so it's alright :)
It didn't seem like two hours though!
I've seen it again since the black curtain screening and plan on seeing it again!

Oh dear dear me...how I love the movie.
I went to watch it today :)
Great casting, Edward and Bella are perfect couple. It is very touchy, when Edward and his other 6 family members were trying to protect Isabella. Love Edward's character.
Though the front part is more suitable to watch alone. As in watch at home not in cinema. I also feel there are some parts missing in the front story line.
The 'hi' from Edwards was really funny and cute :)
Overall, great movie, especially the part starting from basebal scenes to the ending.
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

i went and saw twilight with little hope that it would resemble the faces and ideas i had in my own head... that id imagined in the book.
I was kind of right, not completely though.
The book lets you have your own edward, your own bella and carslile etc without needing them to be perfect around the edges, although they are portrayed that way..
in my mind i saw edward as a guy i would have a taste for, slightly odd, akward and geeky but with an amazing smile which could charm anyone, but also quite unspoken in certain areas... he wasnt a jock or anything which would be what i was completely against. so he was actually made out to be exactly what i had imagined in twilight the movie..
Jasper on the other hand, had more of a comedic role in the movie.. his facial expressions were just humorous rather then pained and lacked any real sort of emotion other then dumb struck.
I saw him in a completely different light in the novel..
Carslile also seemed far to young to portray the father, i understand that vampires dont age, but i saw him as an older like latish thirties in the book, or made himself appear more so to be older, but the way he dressed and looked just made me think he looked late 20's.
so i didnt feel he was the right actor to pull it off.
But aside from a few bits and pieces missing from the novel, and the fact that months were shown over a period of ten minutes, the movie was pretty good.
I felt the love between bella and edward and felt she portrayed her frustration fairly well.
I'm not an actress or a movie director, or the writer of a best selling novel, so all my oppinion stands for is a lazy 10 minutes taken out of my day. And something for someone else to now judge.
But all in all, The movie was much funnier then the novel ever came across to be.
And i enjoyed it as a night out.
And knowing me, when the four movies are all released and over and done with, i will most definately have bought the box set.
Have a good one.
from me.

Twilight was an excellent movie.
However I found the constant screaming of the females in the audience to be distracting.
The movie did justice to the book but the book was still better.
The lighting and cinematography was interesting and unique. It helped to create the atmosphere needed.

Cinematically it was a terrible movie. ....Very CRAP director.....Camera angles? Stupid. Close-ups? Even more stupid. Shot lengths? As fast as a speeding snail.....Edward sparkling? ..EXTREMELY FUNNY. Graphics in general? So crap that i'm ashamed for the design/SFX/cg team. I mean, Monkey Magic, MUCH?!?!?! ....Make-up / Costume?..Hated them. With the exception of Carlisle, Laurent and Jasper.......The script? ..Aweful, considering the book...but i blame Stephenie Meyer - Anne Rice FTW! And yes, kids, there are better writers, and yes, i do believe the plot has been recycled. ....Acting?..Atrocious. With the exception of those who played Carlisle, Esme and Charlie. Did you know that Robert Pattinson himself hates Twilight???? O.o I know, right?....Funniest moments?..The bio lab scene..The first cafeteria scene, jasper in "constant pain" LOL..The Shimmery Edward Scenes LOLOLOLOLOL..The venom sucking scene, delicious face Robert Pattinson's got there, huh girls? :P..At Edward's: "is she even Italian?" / "Well her name is Bella" xD....Overall? MAD FAIL. ....To say that this movie was done well, quite honestly, makes me laugh...and cringe........and cry.....I don't think the fact that i read the book affects me anymore, because i honest to god could not stand the way it was done. Nothing on earth will ever convince me that those closing credits were thought of by empty headed scarecrows. or worse. or that they should've cut up the film and thrown it to the wolves before finding a new director to replace and redo it.....rating? 2/5, for the sake of it's ascention to first place above Superbad as my favourite comedy of all time.

Twilight is a great movie, i love that edward and bella are so in love, edward would do aything to save her! i cried when bella got bitten by the vampire on her wrist and edward tried to save her by getting the poison out, i just didn't think that he was going to stop, it made me so sad when he was bitting her and at the same time he was thinking of all the memories of her and how much he loved her:) This movie is a great movie to watch, once you watch it you'll just want more!

I havent seen a movie like this in a long time.. some of the scenes are so captivating that you can almost feel the characters emotions. Since I'm a perfectionist however, maybe my only gripe was the bumpy bedroom without a bed scene - watch out for them walls! Watch the credits too, they're nice.. Ryan Gaw

The twilight movie was an epic fail. Compared to the books it wasn't very good. Edward didn't actually ever say "I love you" .Period. I love Robert Pattinson but he didn't show much compassion or love for Bella. Hopefully the new director will do a better job with New Moon.

Stranger Among Bears
totally a let down, the special effects looked like they were from the 70's and edwards white makeup was caked on so bad. there was absolutely no chemistry between bella and edward, and everything was so awkward between them. i think everyone went to go see it just because of robert pattinson, because seriously, one of the worst movies ever.........x
