Death Masks - new scrollsawed piece

Here's my latest, it's 4ft wide x 2ft tall, cut out of MDF.
I have my ideas of why I made this, but I'll leave it open for interpretation.
I took a few progression pics, but didn't get every stage...
and the final (but unglued) piece...

The space beside the Pharaoh's head reminded me of the side view of the bust of Nefertiti
I was wondering... with the placement of the stripes... was this intentional? It's the first thing I saw when I looked at this new work. Very cool :)
