Current mood:  annoyed
Category: Web, HTML, Tech
I've signed up to youtube over a year ago and and I have learned that this site is a double-edged word to me, in other words, it has it's pros and cons.

The good thing about youtube is that it's a place to share videos to others through the web and can see clips of shows and events that you thought you wouldn't see again.

The bad thing about it are the numerous copyright violations the users make unintentionally, including those who submit a video converted version of one of my flashes there.

Which leaves me to make a statement about this:
People, I HAVE A YOUTUBE ACCOUNT! it's hitthefloor729. Think twice before posting my flashes there, otherwise you'll get a message from me asking why the hell you submitted it (and possibly ask you to remove it). I get annoyed when users submit my work on youtube or any other video site and don't even bother to give me credit for it. I've seen it happen in the past, I don't want ignorant users to submit my work and take credit for something that they DIDN'T make! I know that I get more publicity that way, but at the same time I don't want others confusing the viewers about who the original author is. I guess the only way to understand copyright violations is too see them from an authors POV.

Another thing I like to point out are the typical answers to why users post my flashes on youtube, they simply state that "They're cool" . This phrase is something a 14 year old n00b would say and it doesn't mean much to me these days. I wish you people would see my work as something beyond that. I want viewers to say that my work is original, creative, inspirational or anything similar to that, I don't make this stuff 'just' to be cool. I want to motivate viewers with the things I make.

I've been wanting to get that off my chest for a while. I'm not against Youtube in any way, all I want is that Youtube users be more responsible with their account and copyright violations and make their own stuff instead of always ripping other people's videos and flashes. Is being original so damn hard for you guys these days?

*sigh*...

is there a way to find people on Youtube? i was looking for your account and ended up with nothing, but it might have been i wasn't using the right feature. if you could clue me in, that'd be good. and if they don't have a feature like that, my account is GodOfThings.

oh, and your movies, i like them for the emotions they can bring, whether it's humor, as in FS misadventures, or tragedy, like LOZ: My Immortal.

I was looking for you on YouTube, but didn't find you. How do i go about finding people on Youtube? if it helps, my account is GodOfThings.

about your movies, they are very good, especially the way they can bring up the emotions in people. so good job on them ( i sound like a teacher's pet, don't I?)

This kind of thing happens to me too. but i submit anime music videos. and people steal them and call it theres! they edit out my name out of the video and say"this is a video i created i hope you like it!"Hell no they didnt create it! i did. i would totally press charges on those bitches! but i love your work. especially the four sword misadventures. if i wanted to post your videos.(which i wont do since u already did) i would give u the credit.i'd tell everyone that this is Hadouken dudes work and i give him the credit and i'd ask u if i could post them before doing it.
