i like 1.. but seems like the light is too bright, washin out her face.. maybe if the light had been moved over a few inches..?

2.. i love the stairs.. and a fan of black and white, though this photo looks more like a gray and white.. if the contrast or brightness to be changed a bit.. so it looks more black and white.. unless that is the look the photographer was looking for.

3 looks a bit grainy. but it's nice a shot! i love the idea behind it all. maybe if they had shot from ground level.. rather than eye level?

but they're all great shots!

1. Great idea...but the light is to close and to bright on her face. You can't see her expression to well.
2. Cool photo...needs more contrast and I would of liked to see it in color.
3. Nice shot, but I would have cropped in closer to the boat and it seems as if it is grainy.
All in all their nice photos and great shot ideas.

I actually like that the face looks a little washed out I think it looks interesting. and I like the boat shot too and I think the grainyness of the picture adds character to it. It looke like an old film or something. Very nice shots!

I agree with the other comments.

2 I would like to see more contrast and 3 I would like to see the contrast turned up and I would crop the bottom so you don't see the water's edge.

Good job...

I love em all. I don't think 3 could take anymore contrast even though it looks like it could use a touch.

As I said in my last comment. I am so new, you may not care what I think. But this also helps me learn, so thanks.
Photo 1. Initally I wanted to know what she was doing. Overall I liked the way she looked. I liked that her face was "washed out", and I like it because it's different. It has almost a spooky effect as well. (I bet she's still seeing 'spots'.. haha)
Photo 2. I like photo's that take me somewhere. It may not inspire me, but I like that it's taking me somewhere.
Photo 3. Again, it's taking me somewhere and I like that. I agree with the crop comment, I would crop it up an inch or so at the bottom. Good photo!

I love good photography and all these are great pics....
What I would do with number 1 is to crop some from the left side...don't center the lady, but there is a little too much desk showing on the left side....I like number 2 the way it is, though I would love to see the greenery in color and the rest left colorless....the only thing I would do with number 3 is to crop off the shoreline from the bottom as someone mentioned on another comment, that leaves just a little mystery, as you would wonder just how far that boat is out on the water, and crop off a little of the sky for balance!!!!

1. i don't think her face being washed out is too much of a problem, but i'd have liked to see the actual bulb on the lamp a little better...other than that, very imaginative shot, i like it very much!

2. love the angle and the b&w. perhaps, yes, experiment with colour on the greenery, leaving the path/steps in b&w. i like the curve of the steps too.

3. boat is wellpositioned on the thirds. i like the grainy effect, gives it more character, and helps with the sky as there is a lot of that.

all in all, good work!

1 has to be my fav!!! I agree with something someone else said and that the photo needed to be cropped just a bit on the left, but only just a little bit! theres just a bit too much of the desk for my liking. I love the fact that her face has all that light on it. Its neat how it brings the subject to the center of attention even though she isnt centered.

2 I would have liked to see it in color! I think its lovely though!

3 CHANGE NOTHING!!!! I love that its a bit grainy and very matte looking. almost like it was drawn!
