The first I like I can't think of much I would change. the dark spot in the top left corner is kinda distracting though.

The second is good as well I think i would crop out the sides and a little of the bottom. Just so you cant see the window frame. and what ever that is in the bottom left corner. Nice work

I really like the detail in the first photo. You can feel the warmness with the paws. I don't think I've seen an upclose photo of paws, so this is something unique to me.

In the second one, the blur in the window is very distracting for me. I see it before I do the bottles. How about doing an upclose of one bottle with the light shining through the glass?

Not sure what kudos is or why that element is provided here (other than to rate the photos), so I gave 2 Kudos. Now if it was 'stars' I'd give you 5 stars on both photos. The paws are overall a good exposure and a nice / unique idea. Wonder if I could get my cat to sit still long enough for me to try this. The 'bottles' photo is dramatically unique and a wonderful photo; colors, exposure, sharpness (at least on my monitor) and I like the blurred effect in the background. Now, I am wondering how you did this. I can think of several ways of doing it with Photoshop, but exactly how did you do it? With this photo I get a felling of motion such as riding on a train and the bottles are setting on a table next to a window in the train. Maybe it's mobile bar? You obviously like the bottle photo and perhaps that is why you submitted it. I personally am very glad you shred this photo. Thanks Angel.

First I wanna thank everyone for all their wonderful comments and critiques, they are all very helpful and I will def. put some of them to use... Anyways, to answer the motion/photoshop question on the second picture, yes, it is on a train, the Wine Train to be exact, lol, so most of you were right! Not much photoshop was used in either picture, except for the second shot, where I edited out a nasty blue trash can that was outside the train... As for the first shot, not much was done to it, other than minor cropping and some contrast. I now see that I prob. can live without the vignette, maybe just lessen it, or get rid of it all together... Anyways, this has been a great help, thanks again...

I don't believe the bottles are on a moving train or on a moving anything. To me it looks as if the background has been blurred in some type of editing software. If it was a "moving" background, the blur would be more consistent and less splotchy (some of the leaves on the trees don't look as blurred as the tree trunk, if that's what that is, or as blurred as the other leaves). Also, I would think that if these bottles were on a moving train or something of that nature, then wouldn't there be the same blur inside the bottles?

No matter how or if you edited the pictures. They are lovely. I don't know why the others criticized them in the ways they did.

Photo 1: I personally love the black crack in the lower left hand side, it adds to the photo. It makes it different and not something so cliche. It gives the photo a type of voice. It is the second part or emotion to the photo. It adds a whole new aspect to it. Also the burning around the corners work well with the photo.

Photo 2: I say keep the window affect. That is what makes the picture original. I mean it is like one of those paintings that the character is stepping out of the frame. It gives the photo a great depth of field. The black frame gives an emphases on the colors of the photo. Also the blur in the back makes the picture not so uniform. Who wants an in focus background when there is no emphases on it, unless the emphases is on the background. You only get a clustered photo, with the eye being drawn no where.

I simply love them both! The second one shows stillness and warmth inside but outside speed and movement. I wouldnt change a thing on either. Good job! Great creativity!

both are good imaginitive shots.

1. does it need the vignetting? perhaps not...but it's not doing any harm either!

2. great idea, not sure if it IS actually a moving background or if it's been done in photoshop, but it creates a good effect. could the foreground be a tad lighter though?

good work!

That first one gives me that warm feeling inside. I love dogs.

I love dogs too, but in this case, these were tiger paws :) Tigers are my regular subjects, I live and work on a Tiger Refuge currently housing 14 tigers. Its pretty awesome!!! Anyways, I just wanted to clear that up and thank you very much for your beautiful response :)
