I agree, It is up to you the Artist/Photgrapher I have several images with frames in my albums and lots without. I use my own judgement! Noone is or should tellyou that you should not have added it ;D That is is they have any common sense at all! LOL

Good point! Someone once dared to ridicule me for putting a border around a photo that I entered for a contest (not this page LOL). It was my favorite, the clear frame that hardly takes away the attention from the pic but finishes the photos nicely. Needless to mention that was the last they saw of me LOL.
I agree, framing is part of the artistic vision - some like it, some don't.
I would not put frames on photos that will be printed. They will end up in a real frame anyway, so that is kind of pointless. :)

I used alot of borders only on the internet. But not on the actual photo, they always seem to crop them off when I have them printed. I get so stressed when I have something in the photo and then when it's printed, its cropped off!!! So avoid stress at all costs...hehe

When posting photos online, I have been using a border/background in black. It really has helped bring out the colors and details in photographs. For other photographs, I don't print the border with the print, I put the photo in a frame with a photo mat.
