This is a perfect shot. When I see people that want me to do photoshoots, I always have a "theme" or a style of shot that I can 'see' them doing (even if it's sometimes very different than their personality). When your models give you the creative freedom to place them in that theme...well...you get a shot that's perfect for their "look"....Just like this one! Great job!

Amazing shot....I love how you brought in that 1940's kinda look...the model is perfect for that look. Has just enough sex appeal and not over the top. Love the b&w with just a hint of sepia.

this is very nice. I love the lighting. She is a natural beauty. The posing is classy & sexy in one. b/w gives it a "movie star" quality. I can see why this is one of your favs. :)

This shot was taken in the studio with a Fuji S5 pro camera at F11 at 1/200, ISO 200 with a 28-70mm 2.8 Nikon lens, the settings were done in Manual mode: I get together with some local photographers on Wed. evenings and we bounce ideas off eachother....it's a great learning experience for all of us.

I love it, very unconventional. :) Great colors, a little cleavage to offset the innocence... cute. Great job. Only "critique" if any would be the lower left corner - is that just my monitor or dirt on teh wall/backdrop/lens, or maybe shadow?

I took this portrait many years ago...it was one of my first photoshoots and it has always been one of my favorite pictures. After editing, I wasn't sure which one would be a better portrait. I was trying to remove a shadow on her face and these two pictures were the result...Which would YOU GUYS choose (and why)? Thanks!

Location: On my balcony at sunset...I had her look directly into the sun.
Camera: A simple p&s...Canon G2
Flash: Yes

I would go with the first one....my eye goes to her nose first on the 2nd image, where my eye goes to her eyes on the first image, which I feel is more pleasing. Hope that helps.
Best,
Dave

This is a shot of my best friend whose baby is now just over a week old. It was shot with a Nikon D200, 18-70mm lens, it was set to manual, prolly shutter speed of 200 with a f/12. It's obviously been photoshopped, but I loved the original shot and wanted to give it a softer feel. It was one of my favorites from her shoot.

I love the simplicity of this shot...quite beautiful. I like how you've blown out the back a little bit to draw the eye towards the belly. I do agree with the idea of cropping it a little bit. Awesome!

Deana...I really think you nailed the shot...excellent composition and it seems that you really captured the moment. Also the post work is nicely done...a little soft and works great. Nice portrait!!!

This kid is deffinately a cutie! I too have had some doozy sessions lately with the two year olds! They are very challenging and sometimes do better when Mommy isn't in the room. You just have to make a game out of their session and get them laughing. I find that this is the perfect age for all those natural FUN shots of them just being kids. Maybe I'll try the Blue Clues Skidoo next time...LOL!!!! Good editing on the hair by the way!

Pastilla, this shot is so amazing that I find myself staring at everything from her expression to the exactness of her stance/performance...her hair adds a very dramatic to the photo as well. I like the fact that you can tell how fast she's moving by the motion blur of her hands... This really is a great capture!
