Friends, I spent a lot of time carefully compiling this post
as so many of you have asked about this subject. Please take a little time to read it & share the info with your friends & families, they are likely to appreciate it.

"The marketing strategy behind labels such as "Free Range Eggs" was developed in response to the public's growing awareness of the massive suffering endured by farmed animals "in the line of production."

... When animals are kept and used for their eggs, milk, flesh, feathers, and skin, they are deprived of their natural lives. There is simply no way for animals to live free lives in any form of agricultural use."

To give you context, here is a picture of a healthy, happy hen, NOT a farmed hen. Notice the plush plumage, & the colorful, erect comb (head dress) :

In the following video you'll see 100 hens that have been rescued from a "free-range" egg-production farm on the day that they were scheduled for slaughter, as they were no longer deemed profitable. These are termed 'spent' hens. Please watch it through to the end, it is so enlightening & so well done, & contains no images that are particularly graphic. This video is the most concise & non-sensational explanation that I've seen about why there's NO SUCH THING AS HUMANE FARMING! In addition, the environmental & health arguments against eggs still apply.

"As long as nonhuman animals are considered "things", property, &/or economic resources, instead of sentient beings with their own interests, there will be no meaningful changes in the cruelty that billions of them endure from birth to death."

Sadly the public is led to believe that "Cage Free" hens live a happy, natural life. This is simply not so, as this article will explain. Only 2 simple, non-graphic photos.

"Free Range" vs. Battery Eggs?
Good news!
It's not an either/or:
It's Neither!"

The touching story of HOPE, a battery farm hen
rescued from a trash can filled with dead chickens.
Watch how she is so lovingly nurtured, it helps restore my faith in humanity:

Bothers me so much to see so much suffering. It's so unfair and all for money. Thank you for sharing the video.
