It's such a calm and comfortable night, the sky is lightly painted with clouds and hints of star light peaking through here and there. The crecent moon hangs in a shady brightness as I look north - northwest and see two bright specks streak across the sky.

With my feet firmly planted on terra firma, my childhood dreams rush back to me and instantly my thoughts shoot 200 miles straight up. I wish I was aboard the shuttle Atlantis or the ISS as it races above me, exploring our world and those beyond.

Traveling 25,000 miles an hour the two specks of light disappear just as quickly as they were revealed. I am in awe of what Man can accomplish, and I wish I was a part of it. Sometimes it feels like you can get lost in the grind of life. While I haven't stopped to smell the roses today I did stop working briefly enough tonight to let my mind wander

My dreams are not forgotten, just not yet realized. And with all that is wrong in my life, that somehow makes me feel better.
