I had an awesome time last Saturday shooting with
Frances and
Kitty (and her amazing tattoos), playing with concepts from timeless black and white to naked garden prowlers (yes, really). Being the action photographer that I am (when you're 5ft2, shooting anyone generally involves a bit of climbing on something) I was climbing walls in the dark and managed to put my hand right on a big meaty slug. It was NOT nice, and dead slug bodies don't smell too fresh. I also managed to set my flash gun in the squishy heap of slug death. I knew there was a reason I preferred shooting inside...
Talking of shooting inside, I'm moving into the new studio next week and I am SO excited! I'm still trying not to think about the amount of decorating and furniture carrying that needs to be done, but it's all for a good cause. Plus, I'm going to have the best leg muscles ever if the lifts haven't been put back in service yet. 9 flights of stairs carrying buckets of paint and heaps of furniture and props...go go gadget legs! If you don't get that Inspector Gadget reference, please don't say anything about it - you'll only make me feel old.
I've put some of the photos from last week up on
ViolentlyBeautiful.com. They are:
Snow Drift,
Shadows and
Prowler.
