Update

Ok, well we have done 11 flights in 14 days. I CAN NOT believe we are actually getting on them and only partially freaking out. I even slept on one yesterday. AMAZING!!!

Feeling a bit tired still from Texas where we played 3 gigs a day for 3 days at sxsw> one gig a night kills us-with there only being 2 of us we really have to find loads of energy and emotion to make it work. It’s a bit draining but I would be lying if I say we are not having the time of our lives..you know, stuff you remember when you are old. Don’t want to sound smug though. We are working the hardest I have ever worked in my entire life.

We played about 7 US cities and its crazy to know people already know about us without a record released. Its myspace and blogs that are doing it I think. Amazing how music travels. Put your song on myspace, people like it and tell there friends and we travel all the way around the world following our songs and playing them live.

Highlights apart from gigging

*Going to the Rothko chapel in Houston (well I say highlight but it was really depressing actually and made me feel a bit weird for 2 hours but was very moving)

* Finding the ghostbusters HQ in New York. Its still a fire station and still has a ghostbusters sign inside

*Amusing our little brains finding places to stick some bullet hole stickers we found it Texas

*Watching a guy with a fetching moustache hit the end our of plane wing with his screwdriver for 1 hour trying to fix it. He failed and we took off without our wing light. I was expecting some modern technology or robot or something to come along. But no, he just kept banging away.

*finding a laundrette to wash our clothes midway between Austin! ( ; and Houston

*Our Venezuelan guitar tec Cesar who has no idea how offensive the C word is and has therefore recently called us Fookin C**ts on our comments. Bless him

Lowlights

* Fainting in Texas because of exhaustion and doing a gig in a tent in 90 odd degrees heat

*Drumming my finger in Chicago

I have removed some of my orange nail polish to unveil the damage

The next 2 days we are rehearsing trying to put another new song in the set for our first headline shows in the UK.
Don’t forget to check our tour dates and see if we have any tickets left!

Also thank you to everybody who bought or downloaded great dj. The single was not chart eligible, as we wanted to build up to our first single and not spoil all that we have done with our past 2 ltd releases ourselves. Anyway, it would have charted splendidly if it was and we can’t wait to release that’s not my name as a full release in May ( :

So all in all very happy, and tired and hungry as I have no in-date food in my fridge. Its good to be back in Salford for 2 days. The sun is even out..sort of.

Ps. We are just listening to some of the answer phone messages you lot have left for the b-side of that’s not my name. They are hilarious!
