Big Thanks to everyone that Voted for Geek-Girl in the first Public Vote round of Small Press Idol '08!

Top 5 was where we wanted to come, as traditionally those that finish Top 5 this round are the contenders to win the Contest; and here are the results, taken (with their commentary) from the SPI site...
"So, what happened over the weekend? Warpath made a huge and surprising leap to reclaim the 1 spot, bringing in the biggest single day vote gain of this year. Spud won out on the battle for 4th place, but Shamrock actually drops 2 spots, as Geek-Girl makes a dramatic stab at the top 5 and lands some bragging rights there. Other than that, where everyone was watching, the dreaded line, speaks for itself today. No change. Rasgal's support brought it up above the line, and kept it there. So, with no further ado, here are the final numbers..."

2. In Flight Service 432 Votes (+60)

We were teetering on the brink of the Top 5 for about a week, and then on the final day, another bunch of you came on board, and a lot of voters re-voted :)
The next round's gonna be tougher, as we need to make Top 3--and if we make it through? Geek-Girl gets her first issue published! and is in the running for the prize of a 4-issue mini-series!

If you haven't seen our stuff from the last round yet, you can check it out here, then be sure to click on 'register' at the (SPI) site the link takes you to--and you'll be all set to vote in the next round!
Cheers!
