I haven't been using my new left hand too much for anything other than semi-support and sifting through bile and waterlogged chunks of collapsed and decaying organs. I noticed its lack of use because, though it should be easier to control and maneuver, it had become a lot more stiff and less responsive. But when I shined the light on it, I realized that there was a thick layer of dried gore crusted over the entire surface of my hand. So thick that it was hindering my movement. I managed to scrape most of it off by using the concrete like sandpaper.

I've been hiding in the corner. My femur knife has been clutched in my claw. The flashlight stopped working a bit ago, but fumbling around in the dark, I just spun the battery in it a little and it was reborn. Don't know for how long though. Trying to save its energy, but that's like putting a hundred dollar bill down in front of a dying bum and telling him not to use it until the right time. I could be dead tomorrow. And the light would still shine on.

I assume that the phrase "tasted like a million bucks" is so popular because a large number of rich people have actually sprinkled a pile of cash with some salt and ingested it, and all agreed that a million dollars was delicious. So I have always taken their word. How else would one be able to compare the tastes? I have no idea how I missed it when I was rooting for a weapon, but when I was piling up some of the bodies for my barricade, a small bag of nuts fell out of one of the pockets of a dead female, and when I ate it, though I have never eaten a pile of money, I can tell you that a million dollars must, indeed, taste like a small bag of old peanuts harvested from a dead body in a dungeon.
