Current mood:  crushed
Category: Music
Hello,
We are pleased to announce that our new album Funny Times is coming out late August / early September. My brother has done an amazing painting for the front cover and it will have these eleven songs on it......
1. Funny Times
2. My Home No Longer Is My Home
3. I Can't Bring The Time Back
4. Keep Moving
5. How Did You Manage To Get Inside My Head?
6. Sitting On Your Doorstep
7. Everything Goes Wrong
8. Home Made War
9. We Do Do We We Do
10. Serious Thing
11. The Long Conveyor Belt

We are planning a big momma tour to coincide with it's release. With our favourite bands Kate Goes and The Retro Spankees along with us. A single is planned too but we can't decide between I Can't Bring The Time Back or Serious Thing at the moment. Your thoughts are always welcome.
More news to follow soon on Funny Times. We had an idea to release 100 copies early with a free cdr of some other songs. But these ideas need to be thought through before advertising them on a blog. Like I just did.

We're playing in Lithuania in a couple of weeks. All paid for by The British Council. They want us to represent Britain! I really don't know how good an advert we are for Britain. But we shall give it a go. Very much looking forward to having an interpreter. Mainly the idea of having someone repeat everything you say. I've been asked to sit on a panel with some music industry people whilst we're there. Needless to say I shall do my level best to annoy anyone who I feel needs annoying.

We're doing two last minute gigs in London and Birmingham on the 19th and 21st of May. Due to the short notice, I'm imagining them being quite empty so do come down if you have nothing better to do.
Oh and if Myspace ever lets me, I'm changing the songs on the page tonight including the instrumental of Fashion Parade to download for free. You know the one. It's been on the BBC you know. Which means it's proper music. Ironically, the bit they keep using was meant to be the dumbest keyboard line anyone could write.
All together now...
Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip-Bip-Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip Bip.
But one musn't grumble. It makes my Mom happy!
What doesn't make my Mom happy is the news I'm working on another Grandmaster Gareth album! "Grandmaster Gareth's Magical Sound Shower". Oh yes. Not that anyone buys them of course. You're no fools.
Anyway, one musn't grumble.
If you only knew how much time I spend making these albums.
It's fine. It's fine.
Make sure you wear a jumper at the moment. Weather can be deceptive. I had indeed stopped wearing mine last month but have been forced to resume wearing them again. And there's a bug going round and if you don't keep warm you'll definitely catch it.
Grandmaster Gareth
p.s. If you'd like to stop making me feel like Grandmaster Gary Barlow, you can purchase THE PARTY SOUNDS OF GRANDMASTER GARETH from www.myspace.com/mistyslittleshop
As well as other goodies. Though what you really want to brighten up your May is THE PARTY SOUNDS OF GRANDMASTER GARETH. Seriously. Don't go looking at the other stuff thinking "hmm I'm not sure".
p.p.s. You really really do. Just stop and think of all the boxes of them clogging up my house. I'll even let you haggle.

Yes, I keep hearing that on the Bee Bee See adverts. The first time we heard it we were most amused. I heard it again this evening. I was still amused. I remain very much amused.

Making your Mum proud is all that counts.

New album, marvellous news, I can't wait. No Bip-Bip-Bip-Bip Fashion Parade though?

I purchased THE PARTY SOUNDS OF GRANDMASTER GARETH yesterday from Amazon, so rest easy, the mortgage can be paid for yet another month!

I'll see you in Brum on the 21st

Toodle pip

I've been waiting for Serious Thing to be a single for the longest time, since I first heard it, but now you give me a choice between that and I Can't Bring The Time Back, I think I might just be tempted to say the latter... Blimey! Fantastic news about the album, I can't wait!

WOW! what a year we are to have that sound spendiferous! and what did you expect from th beeb using the inane part of the sog, they hav the stereophonics and mika at their big festival so its really not a surprise. also you would be the perfect representative of our country, better than any xenophobic band or the kaiser cheifs! any chance you guys will be at bestival this year?

all the best

Splendid news !!! New album !! Hurrah !!

Yes the weather is a tricky one isn't it ? Only today I went out in just a t shirt and paid the price by getting caught in the rain. Actually I wasn't just wearing a t shirt, that would be vulgar. I did have clothes on my bottom half. Just thought you would like to know.

So, can I haggle on the Party Sounds ? I'll offer you 2p and a pencil.

Firstly, excellent gig on Saturday.

Secondly, as I Can't Bring The Time Back was the song that stuck in my head after the first time I saw you live and the song I loved the most seeing you a second time it's probably better single material. Though maybe it's just because I love what Erotic Volvo does with his arms.
