Religion should remain seclusive and personal. Not by law, but by common sense. Those who tell me I'm going to hell, did not create me, therefore can not sentence me.

the bible has lots of "do's" and "don't's", but only a handful of places where god himself says that one sort of behaviour and/or attitude will get you into heaven, and another will get you something else. here are the examples i've found:

Matt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Matt 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Matthew 23:25-28 "Woe unto you...,hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup
and of the platter...cleanse that which is within the cup and the

And finally, Jesus doesn't care in the least whether or not you are or
are not a so-called born-again Christian, for here are His own words

Reminds me of a time in college. I used to hang around a table in the caf where myself and various friends could be found. Well, I was going to make a response along the lines of "who wouldn't want to worship you?" However, I just have such a hard time avoiding ripping into judgmental pious fear based Christians that need a rectal craniotomy.
It depends on whose religion you're ascribing to doesn't it? I'm a gnostic that ascribes to Eastern Tantra as a religious base. (American tantra is about better orgasms and I, myself, am a fan, but Eastern Tantra is more about ritual sublimation and using sex as machinery to build other, more esoteric things.) So basically, my viewpoint on lost souls like that are that they are limited to and acting out of self loathing due to a myopic dark age mentality that made sex evil. because if the act of creation is dirty it would eliminate its power. If you... pull the teeth and claws off a wolf you have a sheep. That sheep would then gladly give everything they earn to the church. My belief system says that even the porn revolution that has come to light in the past 20 years or so has barely scratched the surface of the intended purpose of what, really, is a lot of fun, harnessing the power of creation.
