Today, my cousin and I took "Set Etiquette & Protocol," a film industry workshop required for admission into IATSE Local 212. And what the heck is IATSE, you might ask. That would be the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States its Territories and Canada (I guess they decided that IATSEMPTAACUSTC was a little too cumbersome).

This is just the first step. I'm also on the list for the "Lamp Operator" course which will let me work on industry shoots. According to Sir J (aka Joshua Whitford, instructor of my "Lighting for Low Budget" workshop), this is a good way to make decent money while learning from the pros. Sounds good to me!
