Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Good morning,

i'm writing this from my bed :-) I'm not long up.
I didn't get home until 130am last night as Stevie and I had been in London.
We had such a great weekend.

Stevie took me for an amazing valentines dinner at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Claridges. It was gorgeous. I never really go to upmarket places as i get really embarrased. I don't know why, i'm a bit silly. Our night was brilliant, we were also staying in Mayfair and enjoyed wandering about looking at all the amazing cars. Bentleys are quite common round there ;-)
I managed to drag Stevie around Harrods for a bit and we bought a bottle of shampoo for the dog which was £16!!! I did have some shopping time to myself and treated myself to some gorgeous YSL shoes. I never really buy anything designer as i'd rather buy 10 things from topshop than one expensive thing. I do have to say my clothing habbit is getting completely out of control. Stevie turned a whole bedroom into a wardrobe for me, it's like a clothes shop with rails all round, but im beginning to run out of room ;-)

We thought as we were going to london for valentines we may aswell take the car down. We've always wanted to get it completely cleaned by a company called 'Miracle Detail' who are based down there. I'm shocked at how good it looks. It's been completely transformed. I can see my full reflection in it!
The company is based right next to the racetrack used in topgear, i had to stop myself from driving right on the track!

So we drove back last night. I took the second shift and told Stevie to go to sleep as he had work today but he said it was impossible to sleep with me driving as i think everyone is out to get me. I never really noticed before but i talk to myself all the time when driving. Everyone's an arse, and nobody on the road should be allowed to drive - according to me ;-)
I've been admiring my car out the window and after doing the 430mile drive there is not one bit of dirt or grime on it, it's got special wax on it that keeps it nice and clean. I really am a bit sad ;-)

So i had the perfect weekend and now i'm looking forward to the rest of this week.

I'm performing at the Swiss music awards on Thursday, where i'm nominated for 3 awards and then on Saturday performing at The German Echos where i'm also nominated for a few awards :-) I'm getting really excited and i'm going to try my best to meet Bono. That would be pretty amazing.

The reason i'm awake when i'm still so tired is because i'm waiting for a delivery of some posh frocks ;-) I've been lent some desinger clothes and shoes to wear to these events. I can't wait to try them all on :-)

Anyway  I best be off now, got a few episodes of come dine with me to watch ;-)

xxx

Thanks for keeping in touch with your fans, it's these little things that make you so special! ..I'm not as yet able to drive to London, but there is talk, from time to time, of building a bridge across the Bering Straights. It would be quite a long drive, though, so maybe flying isn't so bad an idea. Besides seeing you in a concert and touring Scotland, there are many other things in the UK, I'd like to see. ..It's nice seeing that you and Stevie have a rather normal and nice relationship and life, I get tired of hearing about all the dysfunctional celebrities over here. I'm sure we have great folk here but the weird ones seem to get all the press. ..Anyway, it's good to hear you had a great Valentines day/weekend and splurged a bit on yourself. I too, would rather get ten things, perhaps that's the Scott/McDonald in me :) .. ..Derek, "may you have fair winds and following seas"

Can't wait to see and hear you on saturday in the O2 world, where the Echo takes place. I even bought a new dress as you never know where the cameras are :-). I am really excited as I only bought the ticket to see you :-). I will be waving, maybe you'll see me ;-))). .. ..By the way, when I went out with some friends the other night - we always go to drink some cocktails - they played your cd. I just wanted to mention that :-).

Hi Amy. Maybe a little naive of me to think you will read this message... but I am taking a chance.......I am currently treated for cancer. I am listening every morning to "Mr Rock & Roll" and it is enough to pump me up for the rest of the day... I believe this song has some magic in it. Thanks for not only being a pleasure for the ears. ....Take care and all the best in the continued explosion of your brilliant career!....

Congratulations again, Amy! You rocked (not that I was doubting you would). And don't be ashamed if your German doesn't go very far, German is the most difficult language in the word ;-) Cheers, Domingo
