NBC is bringing back "Knight Rider," tapping Doug Liman to produce a "Transformers"-inspired reworking of the 1980s hit action-drama series about a man and his indestructible supercar.  Peacock is readying a two-hour backdoor pilot for the project, with tentative plans to air it as a telepic later this season. Liman is open to the idea of directing, assuming his feature sked allows. If the telepic clicks, a new-model "Knight Rider" could be on the air as early as next fall. For full story click here

E! to tell 'Tales From the Hoff'
E! is getting ready to spin some "Tales of the Hoff," a Ryan Seacrest-produced scripted comedy starring David Hasselhoff.  The project -- part of E!'s previously announced move toward adding scripted programming into its mix -- will follow the fictional dark and twisted trials and tribulations of an international icon as he navigates Hollywood and the world of dating after divorce.  Hasselhoff will play the title role in the project, which insiders said will have a "Curb Your Enthusiasm" feel.  For full story click here

In 6th grade, I had my shop teacher help me make a KITT mold for my electric wheelchair. It looked so real in the dark, we had cars stop and look! Those were the days! I should've done a Baywatch speed boat in the 90's.

Glad to hear the good news, looking forward to seeing the new KITT, I hope you won't let them do any harm to KITT's good reputation, the 57 chevy was a nice touch but we need something up to date like what they did in the movie with the red car, looked like a prototype for the 94 model TA. Well good luck and looking forward to seeing you on tv again.

Hey David! Does this mean ur gonna star in the new "Knight Rider"? I loved that show! It was pretty cool,back in the day. Hope to see u on the new one. If they get someone else to star in the new one,he will NEVER be able to hold a candle to u:) Congrats and good luck!

David I can't wait to see" Tales From the Hoff" its sounds great.
But David you have got to do something about the New Kitt its a 2009 Black-- FORD!!! MUSTANG! It can't be a Ford!
Why not bring the 82 Trans Am back or have 2002 Black Sleek Trans am. It would be the logical Progression.

MERRY CHRISTMAS David!

Nothing will ever hold a candle to thee original Knight Rider. David, you will always be the one
true "Michael Knight". Unfortunately, time changes as ages progress. I wish we didn't have to
grow older, as I too miss the old days and how happy they made me. However, knowing that
you made a difference in the lives of many, I wouldn't change it for the world. You were and
always will be the "Knight in shining armor" (KITT being that armor).

As for the new TV series flick, it sounds like a good continuation. And I can honestly say it's
nice to know that you'll be there to "hand of the torch" to the next generation.

On the big screen, I'm happy to know that Glen is taking his time in redoing the pilot as it was
meant to be. Hopefully you will be able to take up a cameo in that movie too, perhaps filling
the shoes of Edward Mulhares roll (God rest his soul) as a "Devon-type" character.
