Who Gives Kudos:

December 6, 2007 - Thursday
I can't believe it's taken me this long to write another blog. This here are getting a little busier just because I am leaving soon and I need to get everything organized as far as things I will need at home and making sure they get sent there before I get there.

So besides all of that this past Monday was a pretty cool day. Access Hollywood came out to interview me for their show. I have to admit I was a bit on the nervous side mostly because I wasn't quite sure what they were going to ask me, but I think the interview went well. Maria Menounos was the interviewer and she was really down to earth and made me feel relaxed. They showed up early and followed me around to all of my classes and therapy sessions and in between all of that we did about an hour long interview.

It's crazy how it all sort of happened. A writer for the show is really into mountain biking so I guess he was in the market for a new bike, went online to check somethings out and came across and interview I had done. I think in the interview I mentioned something about my Giant Reign and how amazing it is, and so he went out and bought one. That's freakin' bananas!! Well, either that or it could be what I like to call job security! hehe.

They wanted to air the show this Friday, but because of the editing and the fact that I sent them a ton of riding photos they need to get releases on those so it will take a little bit longer. It looks like it might air around Xmas time. Maybe Dec. 26th, but not totally sure yet. I'll post it when I know for sure.

Other than that this week of therapy has gone well. At least the ones I'm awake for! Seriously I haven't got a whole lot of sleep this week. Just between the interview and being exhausted running around all day making sure everything at home is getting organized I just run out of time. I hung out with Stephen today too since he leaves tomorrow. I know he's stoked to get back home to his family and more importantly his little boys. I know he will do awesome and I'll miss him. Although he won't be that far away since he'll be in Riverside.

Anyway I better say goodnight as it is past midnight now and I need to make sure my body gets all the rest it needs.

I'll keep working hard and never give up.

Hi Tara:

I am so excited for you and your mom. Joanne and Ashley came over the other day and picked up a bit more moolah that I was holding for you, so I'm sure she has made the deposit by now! So glad to hear you had a good birthday and turkey day. I can't wait for you to come home! I feel a mexican feast coming on and I want to do all the cooking for you and your mom and hopefully we can meet Polly at the same time. Keep up the hard work so your legs get the idea of what they are supposed to keep doing!

Love ya Tara,

Carol J

Hi Tara,
Every morning I wake up with the worst pain in my back due to a spinal injury sustained many years ago. It takes all the will and strength to crawl out of bed and get in my handcycle. I have nothing to bitch about. I was lucky. I am alive. We are alive.
Tara, you are a tremendous inspiration to me. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Andrew
