Here at Rock Zone Productions we primarily cover hard rock/metal bands/musicians that we feel more people need to know more about.  Many hard rock/metal fans are also into horror films.  Such has been the case w/Rob Zombie's re-make of the film Halloween.  Many hard rock/metal fans went to see the new version of Halloween simply because of Zombie's involvement w/the film.  That film also features a killer sountracj which I strongly urge any hard rock/metal fan to pick up!

This is a review of a DVD called Halloween - The Happy Haunting Of America which the film's Director/Producer Chuck Williams sent me a copy of his DVD to check out.

I must go on record of saying that I myself have never been much into a huge, die hard Horror film fan.  My introductions to hooror films though came through my love of Hard rock/metal music.  For example, Alice Cooper, and Dokken had their songs featured on soundtracks to some horror films.  While I never have been a fan of horror films I have always respected their place in the film industry and the people who love them.  I was always a fan more of the image of characters like Freddy Krueger, and Pin Head to name just a few.  Freddy to me always seemed like he had the image to be a cool Rock star, and the horror thing could have made for a great Rock act that in my mind could have always made for a really great sountrack!  Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Manson taken to the next level!

Now on to my review of Halloween - The Happy Haunting of America.  This is the 10th anniversary of this film.  People should know that this is not a feature length film but instead more of a doccumentary piece that takes you on a journey through the history of horror films and the horror film industry in general.  The film features interviews w/ Robert England, Alice Cooper, Tony Todd, and Doug Bradley to name just a few.  These are names any die-hard horror film fan will know and find well worth checking this DVD out.  Also you'll find out how some classic creatures ,mask, and props from so many classic films were created.  Like I said I'm not much of a horror film fan myself but I'm glad I have this DVD in my collection!  I found it very informative, entertaining, and like nothing I have ever seen before.  This great, entertaining DVD really is like nothing on the market that I've seen before!  I can see thatt his film was no doubt created through the eyes of it's Director/producer Chuck Williams and his love of horror films, and it's long history.  I never realized that Horror films have been made for so long.

I would have to say that this DVD is a terrific journey through the history, of monsters, gouls, characters, stage props, and an entertaining look into the horror film industry and some of the wonderful actors that have brought life to many horror film characters to life through their wonderful acting.

Would I recommend this DVD? W/o a doubt! In 2 words I'd say this DVD could be best described as timeless and entertaining! :.)
