The Van Gogh is a charity cafè situated in a lovely church in south London, in that characteristic jam of afrocarabbian celtic culture which is typical of this area; the church guests permanently a charity shop during week days (until 3pm) and the cafè is also part of a charity organisation supporting social activities . The reason for the name is that the famous Dutch painter lived in a house nearby between 1873 and 1874, just few minutes walking from the cafè. The new management by Paola and Francesco has joined in to combine the social purpose with high quality food in a creative and lovely space. The aim is to offer a good variety of meals freshly made every day and prepared with heart and genuine ingredients together with live entertainments. Francesco and Paola, two old friends, who are taking in their different backgrounds which are the perfect combination to crate a SPACE where to eat and enjoy your time. Francesco is also a musician and actor which is making of the VanGogh the space for the circulation of artists and musicians from all over the planet, whilst Paola comes from an Italian family of restaurateurs and many years spent in collaborating to run a vegan cafè in London and great interest in world wide food and cookery, nutrition and health. Both share a great love for Indian culture and tastes.
