Wax on, wax off.
Photo: Chris HenryIt's been a weekend of broken windows, packed houses, good friends, jammed parties with faux fireplaces, awkward beginnings, explosive shows, lights, darkness, almost snow, ice, reckless mistakes, rad bands, good movies, eclipses, and so many good conversations. (Note: I'm still working on my sign-language alphabet... almost there).
I love seeing you guys more than I realize at home when we're hiding away doing our thing.

Straight to the point.
Which song off the new album is the single? The concept of the "single" is a strange one these days especially with radio so out of the new music loop. We practically started by putting out singles and championing them. Then, came our over-stuffed album in a complete reversal. For Warped Tour, we made the Hintron CD, picking some of the most requested songs off of the long "When It Gets Dark Enough..." What's crazy, is that more CDs have been sold under the banner of the short single-filled album than the long 15-song one. It's a crazy mixed up world, haha.

Any way you cut it, you can't deny that some songs are just more fun to play or to hear at a show. I feel it everytime you sing along and I know there's something special that connects us together, words, music, voices, the sounds, you, us, the moment. The single. It's a fun notion to have one song, just one, that pulls you in to hear the rest of them. Every song we work on we treat as it's own gem, so it's impossible for us to lean a certain way. We think you'll have strong feelings about which is the one people should hear first.
The new album is up on
PUREVOLUME right now. Their site is brand new and it's a total glitch at the moment that the whole CD is still up there. Go listen and
comment us which song is the single, the best one, the one ppl should hear first. Any of the six songs are game including the two that were up first, "Remember" and "Tell Me How".
The song you pick will be the one we give away as a
free download.
A million thank you's to everyone that made the MD shows special this week (both sold out)... same with NYC, that was so rad. And, to Rachel of Columbia University and Apathy Eulogy (congrats!) for hosting us at their show.
We would like to invite you to pick up the new CD for only $5 right now at the
ONLINE STORE.
