Never Trust a 'Big Butt and a Smile'-(It Could Be Poison)

As you chuckle at this little picture we put together, keep in the mind the key phrase here is 'Act Dumb'. Homegirl and her team know exactly what they're doing-make no mistake.
They are no dummies-At least Karl Rove who is probably behind all this isn't. Part of what the GOP is doing, by picking Sarah Palin as VP candidate is making an appeal for men more so than women. In fact if I'm correct Palin has higher numbers amongst men. Most women I know don't get it. They think she's shallow. They say she's ridiculous.
They think her politics are Draconian at best and that she's basically a female version of George Bush-complete with an eternal smirk.


However a lot of men, especially older men see her as hot. She's a fantasy come to life. She's the naughty librarian 'MILF' who they'd love to get with. This manifest itself in the form of male talk show hosts giving her a pass. Many actually spend valuable time talking about her looks and small time stuff and not her scary politics.
It manifest itself in people actually giving John McCain props for picking such a nice 'looking babe' versus's focusing on his shortcomings. It sort of like him having a trophy wife. Except this one will have serious impact on US policy. It manifest itself in male producers who are behind the scenes spending time editing film and audio tape giving her a favorable look as she is a welcome break from the daily onslaught of old wrinkly white males who they are usually editing.


Meanwhile a lot of those women who have dismissed have done so without ever talking to the men and their lives and making sure that they don't get taken up by the proverbial 'big butt and a smile', made famous in the song 'Poison' by Bel Biv Devoe.
Many women figure men see her the same way as they do.
Wrong!

Look lets keep it real.
We have more than enough examples to show that way too many men from former president Bill Clinton on down have to Jesse Jackson and beyond have screwed up big time and caused irreparable harm chasing a cute skirt. Way too many men have been outright reckless. I say leave nothing to chance. Women call the men in your lives and make sure they understand this is serious. Make sure they 'get it'. Make sure they understand that a vote for her will do you harm. Don't let someone with her backwards politics get to the white house.
And trust me with her winking, giving shout outs to Joe Six Pack and wearing her librarianisque outfits, she's tossing those vibes out there. Her calling herself a hockey mom was designed to appeal to men more than women. What's needed is another attractive women to snap fools out of their stuper. Make that call. Have that talk.


How serious is this? Well right now we have a powerful Democratic official in New York who is running around babbling to friends, colleagues and even his staff about Palin's good looks and how he actually going to vote for her. (I will drop names and put him on full blast soon-Dude you know who you are!). I do know he certainly isn't pushing his people to go canvass or do anything for his party much less Obama ever since she hit the scene.
How many more are like him?

The article below exemplifies what I personally witnessed while attending the RNC in St Paul. The day after Gov Palin gave her speech, all I heard were my conservative colleagues talking about what a hottie she was. If these are the people who are talking daily to the masses via the airwaves that's not a good look. I mean the day after, they were actually selling buttons talking about Sarah Palin's a hottie. Again, her being picked was not for the women, but the men in the GOP.


Does the McCain campaign think Rich Lowry is sexist?

Last month, the McCain campaign accused Sen.
Joe Biden (D-DE) of being "disrespectful" and sexist for calling Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) "attractive.
" Will it similarly slam National Review's Rich Lowry, who praised Palin's sex appeal to male viewers?

Lowry said; "I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America.


As FactCheck. org summarized, the ad uses quotes from news organizations "out of context in an effort to portray [Barack Obama] and his running mate, Joe Biden, as unfairly attacking Sarah Palin and making sexist remarks.
"

Despite what the ad insinuates, conservatives certainly haven't been exempt from commenting on Palin's appearance — often using much cruder language.
Karl Rove, a McCain adviser, called Palin a "young, attractive, fresh-faced reform governor.
" Rush Limbaugh said the GOP had a "babe on our ticket.
" Glenn Beck exclaimed, "Man, she's hot!"

Last night, Fox's Brit Hume declared Palin "physically attractive," adding to the many conservatives who have fawned over her physical appearance.

One last thought..there's talk that Sarah Palin is supposed to show up on Saturday Night Live.
Up till now comedian Tina Fey has helped dampen some of her appeal by reminding us how awful she is. Her impersonations and savy clowning has been off the chain. However, if Palin does come on SNL and appears to be a good sport about all the ribbing she's been getting, she'll appeal even more to men who will see her as a cool chick who can hang with the boys. I think her camp is waiting for the right time to make that move. ladies please make that phone call and have that talk with your men.
