Asked by DANI - My Question to you is "What is your favorite Pearl Jam song and WHY??????" or who is your all time favorite Band??
My all-time favorite band is Pearl Jam. My favorite Pearl Jam song is Corduroy. It's my favorite song because it so closely describes my life experiences, as well as my personal life history and beliefs very accurately. When that song plays, I truly feel it..
Asked by <3 - If you could change any single event and/or occurrence in your life, would you do it and why?
To begin with, there's nothing that I've done that I regret so badly that I wish I could go back and change it. There are definitely BAD decisions that I've made that I wouldn't make today-but I only know that because I made them in the first place. As far as an occurrence I'd like to change, it would have been nice to have my Mother live longer and spend more time with her. But bad things happen, and I accepted that a long time ago. Most people's character's are truly defined on how they handle the hardships that life throws at you, not the gifts. To me, the past is our greatest teacher and is what give you the experience you need for the future-to ultimately unlock your destiny and lead a happy life.
Asked by Abby - I heard on the net that your dating WWE Diva Katie Lea....is that true?
HA! There's the good old internet for ya! I am friends with Katie, but I have no idea how that rumor even got started! But to answer your question, no, I'm not. I'm totally single right now because nobody wants me. ;-)
Asked by Aina - I read a blog on Amy's myspace and I read that she has terrible back injuries, so I would like to ask about the condition of your back, if you don't mind.
My back is a sore subject.. Get it? Ha! Honestly, my back is constantly sore and hurt due to what I have chosen to do for the last 14 years. I constantly workout to strengthen my back as well as loosen it up. I see a chiropractor at least once a week, I get a couple of massages every week, I use my massage table I have at home occasionally, and I sit in my hot tub every night I'm home for therapeutic treatment. I am doing everything I can to avoid it.. but.. I will most likely have a terrible back when I get older. But you'll never hear me b*tch or complain about it. I chalk it up to one of life's trade offs. But for the time being, it's doing pretty good.
Asked by Richard Morales - I was wondering if there is any new Matt Hardy merchandise coming out from WWE soon? Mainly apparel like a new T-Shirt or something?
Glad you asked Richard. In the next couple of weeks, a new Matt Hardy T-shirt is coming out. It was the first of the two people had a chance to vote on at WWE.com recently. It features one of my newest expressions, "Unlock Your Destiny." I think in the next month or so, there's gonna be some new Hardys stuff coming out as well. One of those items is a Hardys Affliction-like shirt that is totally badass!
Asked by Waiting To See The Prince Of Punk - Great blog! My question is about the Hardy Show. With your busy schedule, as well as Jeff's, how much longer do you see THS being able to continue? I just can't seem to get enough of you, the Enigma, the Prince of Punk and everyone else!
I see The Hardy Show continuing forever and getting better everyday. When I stop wrestling on a full-time schedule, my first priority will be to continually grow THS.
Asked by THE Sexton Hardcastle - How heavy is that ECW belt of yours?
It weighs 12 pounds. It is heavier and bigger than the World Championship and the WWE Title. So when it comes to Jericho and Hunter, mine is bigger than theirs.. It's genetics ;-)
Asked by *A*Real*Freak* - If you could pick one quote to sum up our life, what would it be and why?
"Success is a journey, not a destination" The quote speaks for itself.
Asked by Tiffany aka Barbie - My question is I heard rumors that you were dating Eve Torres, is there any truth to that? ...although you two would make a great couple....love tiffany
Oh my goodness, it's "which diva is Matt rumored to be dating" month, HA! No, I'm unfortunately not dating Eve-but I'm keeping my finger crossed ;-) I think Eve is a really cool girl, and I also think she'll do great when she eventually starts wrestling. Not only is Eve gorgeous, but she's also very nice and down to earth, which makes an attractive girl 10 times more attractive to me.
Asked by Audrey - I'm in college right now, i have always wanted to teach history but now I'm not so sure that is what i want to do. On your profile it saids you have had some college, so i was wondering what you went to college for and what made you change your mind and become a WWE superstar? Would you ever go back to school? Thanks with love!
I actually went to college for a couple of years and got my Associates Degree in Civil Engineering. I never really felt I was destined to be an engineer, I always wanted to be a WWE superstar-going to school was my Plan B, my safety net. I could almost 99% guarantee you that I would never go back to school.. but.. I never say never about anything.
Asked by Fat Elvis (Jersey Girl) - Hey matt..what's your fave live pearl jam moment?
Even though I've met Eddie Vedder, which was uber-cool, that's not my most memorable Pearl Jam moment. The first concert I ever went to was Pearl Jam. They were playing in Charlotte. Myself, Jeff, Jason Ahrndt, & my buddy Phil got there late and walked in right when PJ took the stage. The venue lights dimmed, an awesome light show kicked in on the main stage, the weather was windy yet perfect, and the first notes of "Long Road" blasted. It was a moment I'll never forget-it gave both Jeff and I chills. That was probably the moment they became my favorite band.
Asked by Steff-Hardy Boyz Fan Page - Where do you get the pants that you wear when you wrestle? They rock, just like u.
Every pair of pants I wear are sewn by the top WWE Seamstress, Julie. I'll give her an idea of what I'm looking for color and material wise, she'll find something of similar material, and then I let her creative juices run wild. Julie does great work for me, and I'm happy that she does my gear. BTW, Julie's pretty good friends with Shannon-probably why he's got SOOO much cool gear. HA!
Asked by Heather - OK random question. What is the time where you born?
2 a.m. in the morning. Maybe that explains why I'm such a night owl. Or why I like to be at establishments until 2 a.m. Or why I am usually full of energy at that time. Who knows? Go figure.
Asked by Jyme - Hi Matt, I just noticed that someone who said she is Ashley has posted that you and she have a baby together. She even has pictures up of the baby named Emma Marie Moor Hardy. Are you a daddy? Congrats if you are. Here is the link(in case you don't have it) http://www.myspace.com/myspaceashleymizassrocom
NO. I repeat, NO! Absolute internet nonsense.
Asked by WiseMan Not - Hey Matt!!!! Name me 3 pet peeves of yours...3 things that you just can't stand, be it an object, a mannerism, anything. Peace and glad to see you and Jeff are on the biggest (and greatfully deserved) push of your respective careers!!
Three of my biggest pet peeves are 1)Being behind a slow moving car when I'm on a schedule to get somewhere-it drives me insane! 2)People who don't say "thank you" when you go out of your way to do something for them 3)People who constantly make excuses or blame other people for their shortcomings-look in the mirror, and be a man/woman and be honest with yourself. Everyone f*cks up occasionally, learn from it and don't do it again.
