Leave Britney alone! In a cell. This piece I would actually hang in my dining room.
World of Wonder, the notorious production company for which I used to work had an art exhibit Friday night called JUST BRITNEY. It was all art pieces inspired by the career and antics of Britney Spears.
It was nutty fun and packed with oddball celebrities. The best kind. I have always been a fan of World of Wonder's twisted, pop-inspired, media obsessed, offbeat tastes.
I got to meet Britney's most famous supporter, Chris Crocker, who flew in from his grandparents' Tennessee basement. I love him to death! I told him I was a big fan but didn't tell him what I do. So I was just another crazy gay fan to him. I like it that way.
Here's the pics:

Setting up for the show. That crap on the table in front is about to become expensive art.

This I would have in my bed.

A wall o' Brit greats you out front.

My favorite piece is the little box (in the box) on the right.

They didn't really work. It looked 3-D-ish. Cool picture though.

The notorious Leave Brtiney Alone video with 10 million hits and counting.

Me with Chris Crocker!

Sanrio Hannibal Britney.

These would be great hanging in my locker at the gym.

Remember that crap on the table? It's now worth thousands... or a blowjob.

This seemed to be the most popular piece.

As a performance installation, they were offering free head shaving. Here Perez Hilton (partially) shaves Thairan Smothers.

My friend Peter takes in some art.

My favorite celebrity Darryl Stephens and World Of Wonder producer Camilo.

This Britney impersonator re-enacted Britney's Video Music Awards performance. Her rendition was far more entertaining than Britney's, so I wonder if that means it failed?

Either way, it made you appreciate motherhood.

I also announced my fandom to Daniel Franzese of MEAN GIRLS fame.

There were so many Britneys it was hard to tell if the real Britney was actually there. This may have been her.

A crowd gathered on the street. Half were there for the art, the rest were asking for cigarettes.

Here's my own Britney-inspired moment. She appears on the Red Carpet at the VMAs wearing this trashy outfit making a fool of herself with Kathy Griffin in an episode of RICK & STEVE. An episode that aired a month before the actual VMAs took place. It was shot 10 months before the VMAs. And written almost TWO YEARS ago. I got my finger on the pulse, baby.
