I guess it's a matter of personal taste...but I think Noel has a good ear for a tune.

He is also nostalgic for a time when music was arguably less demanding on the listeners psyche.

Thank goodness for Radiohead eh?

Sure it's taste...

But in my opinion, if you're gonna bore the world to death for close on 20 years - you've got to expect some comeback from a crazy nutjob from time to time...

Maybe thank God for Radiohead - but we all know the devil has the best tunes...

Well I can't condone violence at all. Noel doesn't deserve that. It was quite a shove too. He went down like a sack of shit. Just cos he keeps writing the same song over and over doesn't mean he deserves that.

One blog you're condemning violence, the next you're praising it.

Sort yourself out man!

Well said Mr Clinker! I heard that Noel was treated in hospital for a broken rib following his ASSAULT...which just isn't very nice really is it??

Since when has Rock 'N' Roll music been about being nice??

You reap what you sow..

The Gallaghers have been posing about playing the toughest kid in the playground for almost 20 dull years - you behave like that, you get hit..

My only amazement is that it's taken so very long...

I've nothing against violence and fighting - far from it. But to push someone off a stage FROM BEHIND while they're just standing there playing a guitar seems very cowardly, and kind of weak...

Why not approach him from the front and punch him, like a real man...

Yes that's a good point..

It was cowardly and could have resulted in a far worse injury and for that reason I have somewhere aroundabout here referred to this guy as being a 'Nutjob'..

It would have been far better to have clocked Noel face on in a more manly way - and even better if it had been Liam rather than Noel...

I'm no fan of violence, which is why I've never liked Liams 'hardest kid with the best trainers in the playground' persona...

Well, I see what you're saying, but Punk gigs used to be full of that kind of behaviour and were probably a whole lot more vital for it..

I'd also say that if we're gonna give up war, we have to wean ourselves off it rather than cold turkey..

Introducing a bit more ruff and tumble to gigs rather than this anodyne 'no crowd surfing, no pushing, JUST STAND THERE AND CLAP!!!' might reduce the need for people to let out their aggression from behind a gun..

I dunno man....vital is one thing but people can really get hurt when bigger less courteous people get outta control.

It's scary to know what your music can bring out in others.

But Noel has only got bruising..

I'd rather there was a bit of ruff and tumble instead of security everywhere telling you how to let off steam...
