Hi MySpace friends!

I know I havent blogged in quite awhile but at least I have a good excuse... we just returned home last night after 3 weeks out of town. I've missed my MySpace though. Its like a good habit you cant quit and I've felt like a child that hasn't called home in weeks to just check in and say HI! We've missed our MySpace friends and all your messages. Sorry if you thought I just wasn't writing back. Our trip was amazing. A press opportunity came up to promote our show "Tori&Dean:Inn Love" overseas. It started airing in the UK about 3 weeks ago. They flew the family to London to do a whirlwind press tour. My biggest concern going was of course Liam! I was so worried about the little man flying at such a young age ( he turned 3 months this past week). Although the pediatrician assured me he would be fine i still had trepidations because...well, because I'm me and I worry about everything. But, no need to worry at all... he was a champ on his flights. Not a peep. He just smiled a cooed ( his new found tricks) and hung out in his footsie pjs. Everyone on the flight was impressed (boldly announces the proud mummy). One flight attendant even said that in 30 years he had never seen such a well behaved baby (again announces the proud mum). Liam loved London ( somehow he was the only one not affected by the jet lag). I did the Jonathan Ross Show (their Jay Leno). He was very funny and our show was very well recieved. Got to meet celeb chef Gordon Ramsey...Dean is a huge fan of his. Maybe one day he will come to Chateau La Rue and be a guest chef for the guests at Chateau La Rue! He was great and got us into his hot new restaurant MAZE. It was delicious and Gordon sent over a bottle of yummy Rose champagne (my fave) for us. Good thing Nutrisystem provides a "Dining Out" guide. Therefore, I didn't have to panic going to a restaurant and blowing my diet. They tell you how and what to have so you can eat appropriately while still enjoying a night out. This amazing company Silver Cross sent Liam a huge old fashioned Pram to bomb around the streets of London in. He loved it and its being shipped home to Fallbrook. So, after London ( where are show also filmed for "T&D:inn Love", so you'll all get to see this awesome trip in season 2) we flew to Scotland. Dean's family on his dad's side is Scottish so we popped over to Edinburgh to check it out...AMAZING! So beautiful. We spent 3 glorious days there being tourists... I even got a bagpipe lesson ( I suck! Well, clearly not hard enough or I would have been able to play them). We went to the Kilt shop... shout out to Howie at "21st Century Kilt", where Dean got them to look up the McDermott clan kilt. He ordered one for himself and his boys...Jack and Liam. Seeing them measure little Lili for a kilt was hilarious. Dean says he's gonna rock the kilt to our next Hollywood event... and "bring back the kilt!". I must admit as a good wife I was just going with the flow but deep down thinking " a man in a skirt...oh jeez". BUT, once he had the kilt on I was shocked.... he looked SO incredibly sexy. Oh yeah, he rocked the kilt all right. Smokin! Ladies, go buy your man a kilt asap! Then, we checked out a local bike shop where we actually met someone related to Dean. We met Lindsay McDermid ( derived from Mcdermott). He was a great guy and an AMAZING graphic artist. Check out his website at LindsayMcDermid.com! And, we checked out some local B&B's to see the difference between Scottish Bed and Breakfasts and ours. One thing is they serve a big breakfast. And, when they say big they mean BIG! Its was meat aplenty and I got to try Haggis ( my advice to you... don't ask what it is just try it). It was tasty but rich. A couple of bites will do ya! Of course, I've been so good and faithful on my Nutrisystem program I didn't want to mess with my great weightloss results...so I just did a tasting of the big breakfast. But, we now want to do a Big Scottish Breakfast maybe like once a month at Chateau La Rue! Dean can wear his kilt and maybe we can even find someone to come play bagpipes for the guests. They inspired me! Then, we flew back to London (LiLi flight number 3!) and then changed planes and flew to Toronto. Toronto is Dean's hometown and "Tori&Dean:Inn Love" premieres in Canada July 3rd at 1030pm on SLICE network. So, we did tons of press and saw family and then flew home. So, thats 5 flights for the little man! He's certainly earned his wings now. I now call him my little world traveler. Anyway, its been a crazy exhausting but unbelievable 3 weeks. Its always good to come home though! We had missed Mimi La Rue, Ferris, and Chiquita who stayed back at the B&B with our friend Jim who's been helping us run Chateau La Rue while on maternity leave. So, I promise to not be out of touch for this long again. Mummy T xoxo

Glad you had a good time in the UK (and got to meet Jonathon Ross, Luckyyyy)!! Can I just say the kilt idea....YES! Totally bring it to the red carpet!!! Kilts are hot, and they separate the men from the boys (who are too insecure to rock one). I love the idea of having a Scottish breakfast at the B&B too! Fun! Sounds as though you've been showing Liam some great family culture :)

Congrats on a safe and wonderful trip! My daughter was a world traveler at 3 months old as well!!! It is so easy when they are that small and don't want to go running about the plane!!! Isn't it funny that they have to have their picture on their passport at such a tiny age?? The passports are good till they are 5 and I always feel silly showing this tiny infant picture up next to my bouncy toddler!!
Take care!!!

Hi Tori
I managed to catch the Jonathan Ross show when you were on, and you looked fabulous as usual, I'm gonna have to try this Nutrisystem program, my daughter is 9 years old and I'm still trying to get rid of the baby weight (might not count as baby weight anymore but hey it makes me feel better calling it baby weight ;-) )
So happy that your little man did so well on all of those flights!
Anyway, hope all is well with you and your family.

Peace and love
Gillian

That sounds like a fantastic adventure, especially for your "little man". You are creating wonderful memories for you and your family! It is wonderful that you will be able to share some with everyone that watches your show! It has probably become one of my guiltiest pleasures!! It is truly great the moment that you become a mom, and to be able to share moments with people of your little one is awesome!! Keep up the good work on the B&B. I will be looking out for your adventures!!!

So good to hear from you, I love traveling. When my GRANDdaughter was born I would fly and pick her up and fly back with her. Mommy enjoyed the breaks. But now she has twins also....a 3-1/2 year old and 2 year old twins!!! Thank goodness we all live close now. I can't wait until Season 2!!! There hasn't even been re-runs here, so I'm having Tori withdrawals!! I can't wait to see Baby Liam, it's SO good to hear that you are caring for him yourself! BABIES are awesome, you get to see the world from their eyes and it makes you appreciate even the little things. Glad you arrived back safely! xoxoxox Debby "MiMi" in Tennessee

Hi Tori,
We've been travelling all over the world with our daughter since she was 13 weeks old. We, too, were told on that trip she was the "best baby they've ever seen on an airplane." I've lost count on how many trips she's been on since then. At 6 she is still a great traveller and knows what's expected of her on an airplane... if nothing else she has learned to be very patient. (It also helps to bring snacks & a bag full of things to keep her busy!) Last summer we took her to London, Edinburgh & Paris. We, too, LOVED Edinburgh! The people there are so friendly, it's the quaintest little town with great shopping & restaurants, and it's definitely on our list of places we'd like to return! I tried talking my husband into getting a kilt, but he wasn't going for it. They are rather sexy though. And, no, I wasn't about to try Haggis! But I was unfortunately told what it was before I said, "No thanks!"

Thanks for sharing your story and I'm looking forward to watching season 2! :-)

This is my first time blogging to you or anyone. I really love the the show, it is so much fun to watch. It was amazing all that you were able to get done while having that big ole Liam belly. lol I am very anxious for the show to start up again. I athink you should make the show an hour, it is so fun. Your european trip sounds like it was very busy and I'm sure Liam handled things better than mom and dad. The things you did and learned will be memories forever. Take care for now and we are waiting for the show to start back up.

And also, I'm just a big worry wart like you! LOL You'd be suprised how many people worry about everything and don't admit it. Well take care and enjoy Liam, they grow up so fast. Welcome back!
Wow! Sounds like it was a lot of fun (and work). Liam must have been very comfortable with his surroundings that he didn't fuss with all that travel and that can only be credited to a great mother like you!
Gordon Ramsey? Hmmm...his acrid/acid personality on screen seems like he can't deal with pressure (even though he's kind of cute). May I suggest Chef Robert Oliver? He's quite inventive and a great personality although I lost touch with him several years ago. You can probably find him through Marissa (Tomei). I think they are still good friends/business partners.
Haggis! Ack! Scary! It still sends shivers down my spine thinking of it!

Great Trip!! My youngest son, who is now 19, was born in The Philippines. My hubby was in the Air Force for 20 years, and we lived in The Philippines, Japan and Germany including bases in the USA.....so needless to say, the boys have traveled a ton!! Let me tell you now, do it while they are young, as they get older, more of a pain in the neck!! Babies just eat and sleep, and the planes tend to make them sleepy. Also, benadryl before a trip will zonk them right off to sleep!!

We don't live so far from you, in South OC, so perhaps we can find a weekend to come spend some alone time!! We should call and check out the prices, and what you offer at the B&B. Do you have a website that has a list of pkgs?? That would be good :)

I love Gordon Ramsey too, so you can put me down for that weekend for sure!!!

Blessings and have fun with the little guy!! They grow up so fast!!

PS, I have lost 144lbs, and I love the Lean Quisine glazed chicken. I eat protein first, then veggies, then carbs if I am still hungry, and I never can finish a full meal. I try to get about 40-60gms of protein per day, no sugar to low sugar, never more than 5gms per serving, and that did the trick!!

:)

Have a great weekend!

WOW! That's Amazing!
All you accomplished & experienced! I really don't know how you do it all! Just reading your blog, made me excited, but then when I thought about it all, whew!, did I feel tired, jus thinking about it! ,,lol! Yur lil man Liam did great! & why wouldn't he,, having such nurturnig parents! But, I worry more for You, cuz you are still a new mom only 3 mos now.. & On a diet, & can you please tell me HOW you have the energy to do all that? "Maybe that is a book in itself!" Tori, to be honest,, When I watched you on 90210, when you were younger, I thought you were just another hollywood spoiled selfish kid who had everything... Now, I see a woman, who takes responsibility, is Real, Genuine, & Amazing! I am soo proud of you, & the woman you have become. Restores my faith in women who grow up in middle of Hollywood Stardom.. Reading yur blog was very refreshing after all the stuff on Paris, Brittany & Lindsey, etc..
You are an example!! & Yur doing good girl! & Dean gets total Props too!!! For being supportive, and wearing a KILT! I always thought men in Kilts looked cool too!! YUr Idea about the scottish thing at yur B&B,, sounds like a great idea to me!! lol! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We love you! Ann

Great news about your program airing in UofK. That's quite and honor. Thanks for sharing details. You have every reason to worry. I do too! I don't think children should fly at a young age but everyone disagrees. It makes sense. I read where Pilots and frequent flyers gett internal damage from the high altitude. Makes you think a little guy who's newly developed would too. You are a caring mom. Wish there were more like you. It's amazing he didn't cry his head off on such a long flight. He looks amazing in photos.
Hope your show continues to shine. Myspace is addicting but can be dangerous. I've had to change my front page due to weird codes appearing and strange activity. Enjoy motherhood and success! You'll always be a success Tori! It's in your genes.

Tori, I just think you are the cutest thing ever and I love the show. I cry everytime I see the episode where you have the baby, it's just so sweet. I just had a baby about 7 mos before you, I think, and it brings a lot of memories back. I also had a C section and it sucked ass. I was scared as hell. They don't talk about it in the show, but I wonder how your recovery went. Mine was slow and really difficult. Then again, I was 36 when I had my daughter, and I think you are a little younger. Younger bodies heal quicker! Anyway, I have a great recipe for your BandB. I joined LA weight loss to get rid of 30 lbs of baby weight, which by the way, is still hanging around and it's almost her first birthday..... Anyway, it's ricotta pancakes, and they go great with blueberries. You can also add a little lemon to the batter....and of course, you'll have to multiply the recipe....

Ricotta Cheese Pancakes
Ingredients:

3 tbsp flour
2 tsp Splenda
1 tsp baking powder

And I wonder every time I watch: why do you guys do so many meals for your guests? Every B and B I've ever been to (and there have been many) only served breakfast, and at the most, tea or a wine tasting in the afternoon. Some of them have big coffee urns with coffee all day, and maybe cookies or something, but really, to cook for people so often during the day will wear you the hell out....
