So, very exciting weekend for this new mom. I am now officially ordained. Yep, thats right....Reverend Tori Spelling! I did it last week online and my official certificate is in the mail. I'm so proud. I can't wait to hang it. And, this weekend Chateau La Rue had its very first wedding. I was so honored when the couple asked me to officiate. We did it on the front steps of the Chateau as 40 of their friends looked on seated in a lounge like atmosphere. It was so beautiful as I united Tony and Dex as life partners in love. They wrote their own beautiful vows and there was so much love surrounding them that there wasnt a dry eye in the driveway! I was beyond nervous though. I've done live theater and presented at The Emmys and this by far was my scariest moment simply because they had bestowed such an honor upon me and I didnt want to let them down. Afterwards, we threw the reception on our grounds where guests dined on tapas of hanger steak, sea bass, veggie lasagna, and tuna tartare. We had amazing Martini's( thank you Krol Vodka) that we named after the couples favorite Broadway musicals. And, once again our friends at Wilson Creek Winery provided us with their special Almond Champagne. Its the best in the world! Our guests can't get enough of it. We danced to 80's,70's,house, and got a show stopping performance of "Caberet" from one of our grooms. Dean and I took Liam out onto the dance floor and he had his first dance in our arms. The three of us swayed and smiled to Madonna. It was a magical evening of pure love. I will never forget that night and was so proud to witness first hand what I already knew... that Love is pure and true Love knows no gender. As I put Liam down to bed that evening I told him that he will one day find true love. A love that unites him as one with his soulmate. He will be raised knowing that  true love is the ultimate and pure love know no age, gender, or race. I've found it, Tony and Dex have found it, and I wish love to all that seek it. Don't ever let anyone tell you who to Love. Only our hearts can dictate that. Congrats again Tony and Dex...we wish you a lifetime of happiness. Love, T

tori, please don't listen to the haters! i have had several gay and lesbian friends that have gotten married through first nation church -- marriage is a pact between two people in love, not something that the government can regulate.

more and more states are recognizing gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender partnerships, but if your state doesn't, i urge you to check out alternatives such as first nation (www.firstnationchurch.com) and others like it.

congratulations to tony and dex, too!

love,

denise

well you are entitled to your own opinion but they have scientifically proven that GAYS and LESBIANS have different brain structures. A gay mans brain is shaped in the way a womans brain is shaped and vice versa these people cant help it. Who are you to judge anyone? No one judges you. And we arent ment to do ANYTHING but learn here on earth. Homosexuals love each other more then any of us can probably understand because they have so much against them and so much to lose and they do it anyways. They really fight for there love. This is a GREAT thing you did Tori.
And your right dont EVER let anyone tell you who to love!

Your a fucking idiot. they werent married they were joined as partners. after this life we go some place where we're all equal and you'll have to reincarnate again so you learn to be more open minded i mean seriously who are you to tell people what to do? and what business is it of yours? if you dont like it then just stay out of it! "in the words of shakespeare" are you fucking serious??? Trying a bit too hard to be a duo intellectual now arent we??? fucking idiot. its people like you who should go to tell not the gays and lesbians they have commited no crime except one of the bible...which not only contradicts itself but also has been passed from generation to generation. Jesus was trying to say...that we are all god. there is no ABSOLUTE god. He talked in metaphors people. His message was beautiful and people twisted it all up into mumble jumble because they are idiots. The real message has been tatterd and strewn a hardcore mass evangelist ring around the world. Sucks that people cant just be accepting like Jesus asked us all to be. A man who was punished for being different. All you christians talk about Jesus and how he was punished for being different when none of you are ready to accept anything thats different. Its sad what conditioning does to the world.

Looks like you're quite prejudice and conservative. Funny how they were "united as partners" and not "married". You should be prosecuted for your inability to be a humanitarian and complete disregard for human life.

wow! amazing! I already found the news off google.com about the gay wedding from Perez Hilton!
It's really a shame how many ignorant people there our in this world that think gay marriage is unnatural and unacceptable.

I have several gay friends in college who always were attacked and criticized for being who they are and I can't believe in 2007 this kind of hatred still exists.

It's quite an honor to really be a fan of someone who really supports gay marriage and has no hatred of homosexuality. I can't wait till the 2nd season of INN LOVE, I'm addicted to that damn show.

But really, I think out of all the things you've done in the past, this one really stands out for me, that must of been really amazing for you! Keep doing new and exciting things Tori!

Tori,
Thank you so much for sharing this. I agree with you that love knows no boundaries. My parents are still married after 38 years. They are fighting to hang on to their marriage after my parent, Dainna, transitioned to being female when I was 14. They stayed together in a legal same-sex marriage ... after all, they did commit to "Let No One Rend Asunder" their wedding vows. I'm now helping other families with transgendered parents to stay together.

On a different note, I so enjoyed watching your show this past season. Hopefully things are settling down with the new abode! You are to be commended for creating an contemporary B&B ... I've stayed at only a few B&B's, but they do always look like some grandma barfed flowers everywhere. It would be awesome to come visit Chauteau LaRue sometime!

Take care,
Laurie

Tori,
My first time posting to your blog, but it's awesome! What touched me most was what you said about true love knowing no age, gender or race. I am in a same-sex relationship myself, and my partner and I both believe we have found our soul mates!! If I had listened to my head, and not my heart, 2 years ago, I wouldn't be completely happy like I am today!! It's people like YOU that the world needs more of!!!! Maybe we'll come visit and have you marry us soon!!!! :) Oh, and I think you picked the MOST beautiful name for your son...my 6 year old is Liam Kameron!!! (And quite proud of his name and his Scottish heritage) :)

Love,
Lora

My God! How beautifully and eloquent u are... In high school in Tegucigalpa all my friends lived for 90210, i never really got into it. Forward to 10 years later and i'm an avid fan of Perez. I always knew who u were, or thought so: the daughter of the mogul Aaron S. but it wasn't till Perez's comments that i researched u. The whole daddy's girl image is soo long gone, u have proved yourself. All the indy movies, your new show... lovely! And now this proclamation of what love is... so pure and true. Tori you've grown up to be an admirable, centered and beautiful personality! Best wishes with your new found love, your baby and keep on keepin on.

Much love from Honduras,

Salvador

Sabra, with your self-righteous babble you have embarassed yourself. Your intolerance and name calling is sickening. You deem people you've never met, who are friend's of Tori's, AND who truly love each other as "unholy"...THIS proves that your ignorance had led you to mistakenly think that "Jesus Christ" has called you to feel encouraged to judge others and feel like you are superior to them. All I can say is that I hope you don't have any children. Please open your mouth and insert your foot.

Just thought you would like to read this.. CONGRATS again Tori.

NEW YORK - Tori Spelling is now available for weddings. "Yep, that's right. ... Reverend Tori Spelling! I did it last week online and my official certificate is in the mail. I'm so proud," the 34-year-old actress said in a posting Monday on the MySpace.com site she shares with her husband, Dean McDermott. Spelling officiated at a same-sex union last weekend at Chateau La Rue, the bed-and-breakfast that she and McDermott run in Fallbrook, Calif., on their Oxygen network unscripted series, "Tori & Dean: Inn Love," her spokeswoman, Meghan Prophet, said Tuesday. "I was so honored when the couple asked me to officiate. We did it on the front steps of the Chateau as 40 of their friends looked on seated in a loungelike atmosphere," Spelling wrote................
