Avelile as she looked, aged 8, HIV+ and weighing about the same as a 1yr old baby

Avelile having a medical check up just as she was started on HIV medication

Avelile before medication was started

Avelile striking an identical pose, 1yr later with proper medical treatment for her HIV

This is how a 9yr old SHOULD look
Avelile a wonderful testament to the necessity of treatment for HIV

As well as the drugs, Avelile also gets TAC support with other HIV+ kids. They learn about being HIV+ and how to stay healthy

After Avelile's mum died (due to AIDS) an aunt took her under her wing. Family support is very important.

She's a beautiful little girl and thanks to you now has the chance of a long and healthy life.

Yesterday on radio I heard part of an interview with a woman who was saying that the use of condoms among young men in South Africa was increasing, however the older generation of men were largely continuing unprotected sex. I wish I'd heard the whole interview because the little bit I did hear sounded encouraging.

Well, I managed to tell some people of Sing, but it's hard to talk to someone when the volume is open. I also got reactions on my SING Tshirt. I will try to tell people about SING

Took also some pictures. Here's one with the organizers of the 70s reunion
