Andy began playing bass as a teenager and he soon began jamming with other musicians in the area. In 1985 he joined underground rock band 'You' in fact they were so underground, that they never did a single gig! Some years later he teamed up with rock covers band 'Limited Addiction' and he began to gig around the North Norfolk area. A chance meeting with local guitar hero Pat Rolph and ex Motorhead roadie Bill Fleming, (drums) led to the formation of the Blues/Rock outfit 'Dogwood' but he unfortunately had to leave after an old shoulder injury began to play up. (By sheer coincidence a post that Kym filled temporarily all those years before Hollow formed) Resting up the arm in a sling for several weeks meant no bass playing so he spent his time studying classical guitar and music theory.
Around 2004 the bass bug bit again and Andy began looking for another band. "Eventually after a few false hopes I got a call from Kym who was given my number from Pat Rolph.
Apparently I was given the gig because I was the only bass player at the audition who didn't run away when shown the set list!"
