Criminals Plan to Slaughter

60 whales off the Coast of Japan

The Yakusa controlled Japanese whaling industry have unleashed their mad dog killers into the waters off their own Northeastern coast to viciously slaughter 60 Piked whales.

The proposed slaughter will be illegal and the killing is not endorsed or sanctioned by the International Whaling Commission.

Once again Japan is justifying the slaughter under the absurd excuse of “research.”

The whalers are trying to compensate for losses caused by Sea Shepherd interventions in the Southern Ocean in December 2008 and January and February 2009.

The Japanese Fisheries Agency reported to the media that the environmentalist group the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society made it impossible for the whaling vessels to operate on 16 days of the 100-day whale hunt.

The six ships caught 679 minke and one fin whale on the mission, the agency said. That was well below its planned haul of between 765 and 935 of the giant mammals.

The whalers need to kill at least 765 whales to break even. As a result they suffered losses of tens of millions of dollars.

The Sea Shepherd ship Steve Irwin and her crew chased and shut down the whaling operations for more than five weeks Japan claims 16 days but that would mean that they would have fallen only 128 whales short of their set quota based on an average kill of 8 whales per day. The whalers failed to reach their set quota by 305 which means that Sea Shepherd prevented whaling activities for 38 days which validates the Sea Shepherd claim that whaling was shut down for five and a half weeks – not 16 days as Japan claims.

Four whaling ships and one designated “research”vessel will set sail soon from Ayukawa port in northern Miyagi prefecture and hunt whales within 80 kilometres (50 miles) off the coast until late May, the official said.

Japan wants to launch the new whaling mission ahead of the International Whaling Commission's annual general meeting in June in Madeira, Portugal. The IWC will not have an opportunity to censure these illegal whaling activities until after the whales are killed. ....Japan.... is gamboling that the member nations will do little more than make a noisy fuss about the violations of IWC regulations. The Japanese have learned that the IWC is just a paper shark, all talk and no action.

JAPANESE WHALE KILLERS POISON THEIR OWN JAPANESE PEOPLE, AND CHILDREN:...."The levels of mercury measured by scientists in whale meat are similar to or higher than the levels in fish eaten by people in the Minamata Bay area of Japan," Endo says.....The region is well known for its previous problems with mercury. Hundreds of children were born with birth defects caused by their parents consumption of Mercury contaminated items.....Researchers analyzed 137 meat samples in all and found that every one exceeded the provisional mercury level set by the Japanese Ministry of Health....."Japanese scientists bought samples from across the country, and found that every single slice of whale meat exceeded that country's poison limit on mercury, with some samples containing almost 200 times the maximum value. ...."Despite extreme contamination with mercury, whale products have been sold for human consumption without any regulation."....The researchers also found that mercury levels were even higher in whales caught off the coast.....[ It means that anyone AGAINST whaling, such as animal helpers, sea shepherd, anti-whalers, etc, is actually helping Japan, a friend of 99% of Japanese people, and saving the lives of Japanese citizens. This means anyone who is FOR whaling, such as the Japanese whale killers, yakuza, pro-whalers, etc, is hurting Japanese people, damaging Japan, and poisoning Japanese children. ]..

The Japanese Fisheries Agency should be denounced as criminals and all the government supporters ..of this illegal hunt as well. Perhaps its time to call for a boycott of Japanese product world wide.

Beyond this current life these pathetic evil mongers will suffer a horrific karmic exchange. They have stabbed the heart and soul of Mother Nature and the pay back will be hugh. Horrible acts of nature will fall upon their country and its people. These people are slowly killing their own people with mercury poison. Whale meat is toxic and not for human consumption. I also feel this current issue will back fire on them at the IWC ~ Whale Wars Season 2 is going to send the world wide banging on Japans door to knock off their criminal actions. Thank you Paul and crew ~ Love Lynn........

I cannor accept that the majority of the Japanese public are ignorant of these horrendous slayings of whales and dolphins, be it in Antartica or on their own doorstep. What goes on inside the head of these people? Is there no empathy out there!..

You said it Rebecca...they are just daring anyone to say that they cannot whale off of their coast. The IWC is a joke! When will the world claim all of the whales belong to all of us..not just one country or nation....they travel all of the oceans. One country cannot lay claim to them, therefore they are killing OUR whales. When do WE have a right to say NO?..

The Japanese have got to be stopped. These innocent whales that they are murdering are NOT their whales they are whales that are their for everyone to enjoy and they are vital to the environment. Peter Garrett is the environment minister, and he is on my top friends list I urge everyone to send him a message to intervene and take action against the Japanese Government and the murderous whalers. In other words keep their promise and take them to the Environment court.I dont hate or dislike the Japanese people but i do hate the Japanese whalers as I class them no different to a murderer and they should be brought to justice...

I was in Japan for a couple of weeks this past February. Although there was canned whale meat next to the tuna and salmon at the grocery store, the majority of the Japanese i spoke to have never tried whale meat. The cans were dusty and the meat was on sale. Most Japanese are also unaware of the illegal activities of the Yakusa. Most if not all people stay out of the Yakusa's way in Japan. I was at a hot spring outside of Sapporo and when a Yakusa member entered the pool, all the Japanese people got up and moved to the next pool. Yakusa are easy to spot at a hot spring - they are covered in tattoos and may be missing a few fingers. This guy was not missing any fingers but heavily covered in tattoos.....Like most countries with disposable income, people in Japan are too caught up in their consumerism to care about what is going on in the world. Most of the people who have tried and still eat whale meat in Japan are the old timers (world war 2 era). So as Paul and SSCS as stated many times, the change will not come from within Japan. It will come from the outside world (through Whale Wars as an example) and that may possibly lead the Japanese majority to feel shame because they do no like losing face to the rest of the world.....However, as my friend in Japan said, the Yakusa pretty much control the country. So unless the Yakusa cease to exist, the problem with persist...
