As many of you may know, I catch up on my Disney news on a regular basis. And for many, I will email out a summary of the high points in what's going on with Disney every few weeks (if you want to start getting it, let me know). So my favorite site for it is The Disney Blog check it out. They wanted us to post the answer to 3 questions in a blog to register to win a prize- so here I go:)
- Have you ever celebrated your birthday at a Disney theme park? If so, tell us about it.
I lived there and worked at Epcot for 3 years, so for those years I got to have my birthday there. My favorite is to eat at one of the restaurants in World Showcase. I love them all- but favorites are Italy (alas, no more) and Canada.
- What is your favorite or most useful tip for guests of Disney's theme parks?
Fastpass. Learn how every one works and build your day around it. And know which ones not to waste it on- like haunted mansion. Never necessary. We did Disneyland in March- California Adventure for the first time- and you can walk between parks in a couple of minutes and have fast passes for both at the same time. Because of that- we did 22 attractions between the 2 parks in one day- that included a couple of leisurly meals, several smoke breaks, and waits on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Snow White's Scarry Adventure when they ended up breaking down before we road- and it didn't feel like a rushed day- just well managed. Favorite things there were the Aladdin stage show and the night parade.
- What is your favorite Disney theme park attraction or show and why?
1) Splash Mountain. I love Frontierland and all things outdoorsy. I love water rides. I love Song of the South. Love Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox. love the music. Love Animitronics. It's just a perfect ride. I told them at my college intern interview it was my favorite ride and got to work it for that summer.
2) American Adventure. I love the world showcase. It was always my favorite part of WDW- and completely by the fates- i had the amazing experience of performing in Tapestry of Nations/ Dreams for 3 years. Beautiful. But I digress. Amer. Adv. I love American History in general. and I love stage shows. and again- love animitronics and this show (though many would argue) I think is the most exquisite execution of them- let alone beautifully and artistically staged- fantastic script and a great score. love it.
3) Spectromagic. I don't have a lot to specifically say other than it's magic to me:)
