We'd like to extend a warm, throbbing thanks to everyone who came to see us at Six Flags the other weekend. No the other one. You three guys are great. Plus no rock show is complete without strollers and life-size cartoon characters.
That day also hosted a special version of "Smoke and Mirrors". It's pretty Jersey/Great Adventure-centric so if you don't get the jokes, well, then they're probably just not funny. If you need an explanation, find someone awesome. They're probably from the garden state and can elucidate. Click here for the song, here for the lyrics, and here for the original. If you're into that sort of thing.
Next Tuesday is going to be our last big show for a while. And by "big show" we mean one where the PA doesn't belong to one of the bands. Keith Caputo from Life of Agony will also be performing/wondering why he's on the same bill as us. Tickets are on sale so e-mail us if you're going! And to all members of Road Squadron, check the new orders as we need all the help we can get promoting and selling tickets for this one.
We'll have a brand new shirt at this show displaying our very first WORLD TOUR. Thus the graphics surrounding this information. It'll be on sale at the Stone Pony show and then online later that night. Possibly the next morning. Depends on whether or not the Pony gives the bands free drinks.
Make sure you come out to this one since we're going to be cutting down on shows to write and record new material along with heightening the hunt for a drummer. But there have been rumors circulating of an upcoming acoustic performance... The fact that we may have started said rumors is entirely beside the point.
And lest we forget, this show on August 5th will also feature the Divinity debut of guest drummer, Tommy St. Thomas of Welcome to My Face fame. Bask in his glory. It takes a real man to wear a fanny pack. And glitter. And red hypoallergenic lipstick.
We will see you next Tuesday. Whether or not you are in Asbury Park. With our all-seeing brown eye.
Good times,
Divinity Destroyed
