Scott M. Sandridge is a big fan of the shameless plug. And what better forum is there to rant or boast than the Planet Scott blog space? Well, maybe Sandridge's own blog space.

"I tend to focus on where I'm at in my writing career with my blog," says Sandridge, who turns 32 this month and hails from Hilliard, Ohio. "And sometimes I rant about the few things that can actually tick me off." Subscribers to Sandridge's blog learn about his upcoming stories before anyone else. Planet Scott residents can find out too at www.myspace.com/scottmsandridge.

"Other than writing, I also read and watch various stuff in the Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror genres," Sandridge said. "Plus the occasional Action/Adventure. I read almost everything my eyeballs spot, whether it be a book, a comic, or a street sign (it's like intellectual OCD or something)."

Sandridge has the time to write and also to do some gaming, like video games, tabletop RPGs like World of Darkness, and anything strategy or tactical-related.  He has the time because he is single with no children. "So stop being shy ladies; you know you want this stud," he says with a wink and smile.

Like many of us, Sandridge finds personal heroes in his parents, who have passed away, but also General George Patton ("Because let's face it: that guy knew how to kick ass," he says) and J. R. R. Tolkien, adding, "His accomplishments are noteworthy, but once you learn about the struggles he had to face in his life, those accomplishments become nothing short of miraculous."

In upholding his shameless plug reputation, your fellow Scott has one more thing to add: "Look up Distant Passages, Volume 1, at amazon.com. Then after you goggle at the awesome cover art, buy it! Or better yet, get it directly from the publisher: Double-Edged Publishing (www.doubleedgedpublishing.com)."
