Humeur actuelle :  plein d’espoir
It all started with a simple message on my space to Seek Irony, wishing them good luck for their new album. Next thing I knew, we were recording a song together each from our own countries! I still cant realize how this actually worked, I never really physically met the guys yet "Everything We Are" is now released! Allright, I'm skipping a few chapters, I'll start from the beginning…

Sometime close to summer 2006, Blood Ink encountered Seek Irony through myspace, and wished them good luck for their new album. To our amazement, Seek Irony and us stayed in contact for several weeks, and we clicked and became really good friends laughing around about random stuff. That was the time where I, personally, met Kfir.

Some months later, the unexpected, sudden, Lebanese/Israeli war started! Surely everybody in the world knew about it. A lot of haphazard firing on civilians from both hizbollah and Israeli soldiers led to lots and lots of casualties, destruction, and death.

Kfir and I stayed in contact, e-mailing each other almost every day, checking on each other, our families, and band mates. We started discussing of why is it that people like us should be involved in this? It never was our decision that someone behind the corner should die, or that kid playing in the playground have shrapnel covering his lifeless body! And why is it we never see a politician or leader holding a rifle and be among the soldiers fighting for his country? Why are we considered as cattle, and we should believe what we are told to believe, and the truth is an undercover lie? A country is all the people living in this certain area; the young, the old, the poor, the rich, and every citizen! Then this war is not between Lebanon and Israel, it's only between several people sitting on that "throne", and the citizens are used for their own usage.

So eventually Kfir and I decided that something should be done, and us, as musicians, the only way to let our voices heard is by composing a song. And that's how it all REALLY started… :P

So the song got composed and lyrics were written, tracks kept on being sent by e-mails, I recorded in Lebanon, and Seek Irony in Israel, and that's how it was done, the song got recorded in 2 different countries. So then some versions came out, we fixed, and eventually it ended up just the way we want it.

And just like kfir said:

"We all, together with Rab, hope you all enjoy the song. We hope there are more people out there, just like us, Israelis, Lebanese, or from any other place around the world, that think this message should be spread as much as possible. We're deseperately shouting out to stop spreading the extreme preaching of hate and violence and for all those who think different - TO SPEAK UP. We're calling for people who understand that only real open discussions will be the right way to fullfill each other's goals and interests. Those who act on behalf of hate and violence are taking everything we are and everything we could ever be. We must remember to ask ourselves questions - Who do we wanna be? What do we want to achieve?! Please think before you follow."

Below are the lyrics of the song, feel free to leave us comments right here. We'll do our best to reply to them all. Thanks.
Everything We Are/ lyrics by Kfir Gov and Rabih Zogheib

1)

Silence, silence of the lambs... marching the march of pain.
They who follow those who live for dying, are the only to blame.
Millions taken for granted - devided by land.
Now, now we colide, here comes the rain again.

And it's shoving us in, pulling us in I tell you.
It's taking everything, everything we have.
Sucking us in I tell you.
It's worse than it's ever been.

2)

Silence, silence of the lambs... haunted, posessed by hate.
They who swallow thoughts and words of reason are empowering the bloodshed.
Millions! where are your voices?! Baffled and frayed!
So now, instead we colide, here come's the rain again.

And it's shoving us in, pulling us in I tell you.
It's taking everything!

Chorus:

Taking Everything we are and everything we could be,
Tearing us apart.
Taking everything.
Taking Everything we are.

C-Part:

Listen, listen in god's name, listen to the child, abandonned, Terrorized!
He never asked to play in this bloodshed game.

Final Chorus:

Everything we are and everything we could be
is always up to us, it always has been.
