This is the interesting part, sea, we`ve been out and around, just now, at festivals.
So much music... they let us stand front row at the Stooges and i think Iggy looked at me.! He was truly and utterly amazing and inspiring.... they all were, i had one of those moments.. Mike Watt rules! ...we definitely watched falloutboy - they have no instrument cables, monitors or even amps, i think, so they can kinda surf/skate their instruments. Its weird. I told the Battles guys that to some of these kids our band must look all primitive in comparison. Its cool to see other people play and the way they go about doing it. We saw Devendra leave the stage to let a kid from the audience have a go. And Dizzee Rascal eating dinner casual 20 mins before he`s due in front of thousands. Its talking to people too, which is unusual for us... its cool to hear other bands tour stories... We learnt that the group Architecture in Helsinki is actually Australian, so we had a beer. Those guys were in a hotel where all the occupants i-tunes were connected. Weird, i know.. They logged on and found heaps of guitar riff recordings that were apparently awesome. So they search to find whose computer it`s coming from.. and low and behold.... its the solo recordings of fob`s lead guitarist (insert name here) 4am , in a Tokyo Hotel. who knew!? So yeah, interesting stuff all round.
xx
BTW. Tokio Hotel is a real band fronted by two twelve year old German twins. Their first smash single "Durch den Monsun" is currently available worldwide in English..
