Saw Closer on saturday at the wellington film festival... the review called it the best film of the festival ... the past is the past, if you don't learn from the mistakes you keep making them again and again. I never saw anything in the Croydon Evening Post and I keep up to date with local goings on. Perhaps it was next to the story about the lady who has lodged a complaint against the dandelions growing in the grass outside her house or maybe the one about the local Post Office's decision to increase the price of custard creams and bourbons byt 5p.

I don't think the management was honest with you I personally think they left you in the dark back in November, and it sounds like they had to keep you mum about it and to the fans so don't blame yourself for it, I am just suprised that they didn't tell you what was going on with New Order simply it is just plan crazy.

i can understand that your sobriety has changed your working patern with new order and your relationship with people, I don't know how you've coped so long, it must be torture being sober while all around are pissed and wasted.

Paul McCartney said in an interview once that the situation with him and John was made worse by press interference, which just escalated the problems, I agree that honesty is the best policy, but be direct with barney and steve, cut out the media and management.

i just hope you can all find some common ground, work it out and get back together, but I'm just optimistic.

I had to put another 2 cents worth in I don't think Barney was ever serious about New Order it was stop and go for years and that was another of your woes if he was serious to continue with New Order you wouldn't have your ups and downs over the years, what ever you decide to do I will be behind you 100% cause you were always my favorite and you are the type of person that is on the go all the time.

I had to pay your blog a visit, as I finished reading the Joy Division, bulletin. Ugh, sorry to hear about all of this business that 'don't' make sense. One of my prized possessions is my New Order laser disc, shot circa 1993 (Republic era). In it Bernard speaks about how you lot have remained 'friends', as a key to your longevity and success. Now I hear that you are hardly on speaking terms, and have been that way for a while. :( I'm just glad that Peter Hook is still loved the world over. Very sorry to have missed your set in L.A., last week, but like I had commented (main page) earlier, one of the deejays played "Blue Monday" at that party I was at, that night.

p.s. Ian Brown should have approached you to play on his new release. ;)

Congratulations on your sobriety! It is a step that I have been unfortunately reluctant to make.
Anyway, you seem like a really nice man, so I'll just say it: Personally, I don't care if you never make another record again with the rest of New Order (although proper two disc remasters of the New Order album catalog wold be nice) but life is too short to be angry with people. You've known these guys for a long time, so maybe it would be a good thing to sort-out your issues with these guys for your own good. I know it's none of my business, but since this thing is playing-out in a very public way over the Internet I just thought that I would add my two cents.
I can't wait to see you DJ! Hopefully you'll come to Detroit soon!
