I realize there are American economists who have their own unusual ideas about how to end the economic malaise in America and it would behoove them to seek the advice of Rudy Giuliani, the hero who single handedly defeated terrorism and saved America. Rudy G. ripped into Barack Obama's economic ideas which sought to force reductions in bonuses paid to Wall Street financiers who ruined their companies. "If you somehow take that bonus out of the economy, it rally will create unemployment. It means less spending in restaurants, less spending in department stores, so everything has an impact." Gee, Rudy, it never dawned upon me that when a Wall Streeter gets a $10 million bonus he runs out to eat all day long and buy everything in the department stores. And, this schmuck actually ran for the presidency!!!

German politicians are furious at a new directive issued by US General Bantz John Craddock which, in effect, allows illegal actions. I quote from the directive: "It is no longer necessary to produce intelligence or other evidence that each particular drug trafficker or narcotics facility in Afghanistan meets the criteria of being a military objective." I thought the lawlessness of Bush ended on January 20. Thousands of Afghan farmers raise opium and under this directive, any of them could be shot on sight. By the way, American General David McKliernen who is in Afghanistan was shocked at the directive. Obama, pay closer attention.

I wanted to reassure those of you who are into the X Files the Danish government has finally released all X Files since the 1970s. There is definite evidence of aliens. A fifteen year old boy saw six "humanoids" standing over a fallen object. And, over a hundred sightings have not been disproved. Of course, if nothing happened, how does one disprove the sighting never took place?

Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan is still furious at Israel for the Gaza invasion. As I explained the other day, Turkey is the only Muslim nation which has close diplomatic and military ties with Israel and that soon may be over. Erdogan told Newsweek, "I'm not saying that Hamas is a good organization, and makes no mistakes. They have made mistakes." But, he went on to blast Israel for its over-reaction and failure to respect the safety of civilians. He also said something that most US media ignores-- there is an election in the coming weeks in Israel and those who wanted the invasion have witnessed a dramatic rise in their popularity. Is it kosher to suggest there is a connection between the invasion and seeking to get votes?

If you have noticed, Barack Obama is not throwing around the word, "terrorism?" A major mistake from September 11 was to cast the struggle as one against "terrorism." If this is a war against "terrorism" than why aren't American forces fighting in the Congo where five million have died since 9/11? Whey aren't they fighting against the terrorists from Sudan who have killed 200,00 people in Darfur? One does not fight against an "abstraction" like "terrorism." A nation fights against concrete enemies who possess a fighting force or some means to damage the interests of your nation. National interests and the defense of them is what should guide any foreign policy.

African Union leaders are among the greatest hypocrites in the world. They refuse to take action against their buddy, President Robert Mugabe, who stole the last presidential election after voiding the one he lost. The UNEMPLOYMENT rate in Zimbabwe is now 95%! and over 3,000 have died of cholera. There was a revolution on the island of Madagascar which the African Union denounced because there was no democratic election to change power. When their old buddy Mugabe lies and steals it is OK. By the way, how come there has not been any protests by African Americans over the death of 3,000 from cholera and the infection of 50,000?
