As a mother, I believe wholeheartedly in standing up and protecting others. I don't necessarily believe that war or violence is the answer, but if it's to protect what's nearest and dearest to our hearts, then I support the necessary actions that it takes to do so. I would do anything to protect my children from harm and I admire those who are brave enough to do that, not just for their loved ones, but also for our entire country. I have friends and family currently enlisted in the military that are stationed here and overseas. I also have friends and family who have fought in past wars from Desert Storm and Vietnam to WWII. My father, his older brother, and their father were among those who fought in Vietnam and WWII on our behalf and I can't even begin to explain to you how proud I am of them. You see, these soldiers who go into battle for us aren't just going in there, doing their jobs, and coming home. These wars live on inside of them forever… a never-ending tour of duty… and they will forever remain soldiers at heart. We not only need to support our troops, but each and every one of these Heroes deserves to be respected and remembered.
