OK last blog entry today I promise!!

I wanted to let yall know about a really important show happening on Friday at BCHQ. A bunch of amazing bands will be playing (starting early and going late) to celebrate our friend, Alex Nathan.

Alex is a documentary filmmaker who lives in Durham and found out he is sick with cancer in January.  He has been totally integral and instrumental in building momentum for our local music scene over the past year.  He's documented all kinds of players and has touched everyone he's worked with in a pretty incredible way.  His mere presence (and the love and honesty it exudes) provides tons of support and well-being to musicians and the community as a whole, and the value of his work is priceless. 

We wanted to write and let yall know about this because it falls on the same day as the dance party at the pinhook.  If you were planning on coming to the dance party, we really really hope you can stop in and hug Alex and see some amazing bands first.  We're going to trade off places and be there as much as we can.  Flier to follow...
