The much anticipated Jay-Z album entitled American Gangster (IDJ) will be in stores this Tuesday November 6, 2007. It features the reemergence of DIDDY as a superstar producer.
Along with his crew from Grind Music (who brought Aasim to Bad Boy Records), Diddy produced the current single "Roc Boys (And The Winner Is...)", "Pray", "No Hook", "Sweet", and "Party Life". "American Dreamin'" is produced by Diddy, Grind Music for the Hitmen and platinum producer Mario Winans. Of course Mario Winans, in typical fashion, lent his virtuosity to all the tracks blessing each one with various musical contributions.
All six songs were written, recorded and produced in a legendary five week time period.
All songs were recorded by Victor Abjaoudi II / Steve "Rock Star" Dickey at Daddy's House, NYC and Gimel "Young Guru" Keaton for Gurucrates LLC. at Roc The Mic, NYC.
Victor Abjaoudi II mixed four songs ("Pray", "American Dreamin'", "Roc Boys (And The Winner Is...)", and "Party Life") and Supa Engineer Duro for Chairman of the Boards mixed the remaining two songs ("No Hook" and "Sweet").
Assistant engineers include Andy Geel ("Pray" and "Sweet), Matt Testa ("Roc Boys (And The Winner Is…)", "Party Life"), Heather Boyden ("No Hook") and Michelle Figueroa ("No Hook") for Daddy's House Recording Studios, NYC.
