Friends,

Some may feel that holding the Obama campaign accountable for their actions -- with regards to how they have treated Joe Anthony -- is dependent upon the (formerly) 160,000 friend BarackObama profile he built to still exist. I do not believe that. There are still things that Senator Obama can, and should, do to clean-up the mess his campaign staff made here. Some irreparable damage has occurred. But, there is still damage that can be undone or, at least, reduced. I plan to highlight those things, from my point of view, over the coming days.

Stay tuned ...

This should be interesting. I too didn't know what to think about Joe deleting the page. I thought maybe it would leave a gaping hole where thousands of energetic people once sat, ready to make a difference.

However, I think this whole experience has left these people with a fire still in their hearts, and a new desire to change and affect what they have seen first hand can be the corrupt world we live in. Will some of the youth that were friends of the group grow up to be campaign managers who will look back on this incident and make better decisions...this very well could be. There is a lot that can be learned from this, and whether the page exists or not, lives have been changed. And indeed, whether the page exists or not, thousands of people on myspace and beyond sit in waiting to see what Obama will do, how he will respond, how he will step up.

I applaud your conviction on this incident and look forward to seeing where this group leads. Thanks!

Ang
