Hello out there!  Greetings from your friendly teen librarian, Randi!  I have been reading and listening to a lot of new books as well as checking out some old favorites. 

Just recently, I finished a book called Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima (Love the name!  I think it is so cool!)  Warrior Heir is the story of 16 year-old Jack.  Jack believes he is just your average teen but he is actually is part of an ancient society of warriors and wizards.  There are two groups of wizards, the white rose and the red rose, that have been struggling for power and domination over each other and other magic users.  The wizards hold tournaments where they pit warriors in a battle to the death and now they are coming for Jack.  The white rose wants to use him as a tool and the red rose wants to kill him.  Will Jack survive? 

I liked this book.  It had action, adventure, magic, and a little bit of romance [though its definitely not the focus of the story].  It takes a while to get started but once you get into the story its hard to stop reading. 

I am going to continue to tell you about stuff that I'm reading, but why don't you tell me what you guys are reading?  Or maybe, just talk about your favorite book?
