That's how long I slept the night after Florida SuperCon.
Then I slept another 10 hours last night.
I guess I was tired.
I'm going to write a blog a day until I cover the entire story of this last, wild weekend, but I'm going to start off with this little bit:
After the dinner on Saturday night, all the Harry Potter peeps were up on the stage to do pictures and the like. Nat decided she wanted a smoke break, so as she jumped off stage to disappear, she grabbed my guitar and looked at me, asking if she could take it.
This put me in a tough spot. Like many musicians, I am fiercely protective of my instruments. But this is Tonks! She's got to be safe. Plus, I know she plays, so I figured it'd be okay. Besides, how long does a smoke take? 5, maybe 8 minutes?
When 20 minutes had passed, I started to get worried. I asked Fred of
Fred Lives if he'd seen her, and he hadn't. So he and I set off to find her, through the kitchens.
Fast forward 10 minutes. Hugh (who played Colin Creevey), Danielle (Angelina Johnson), Nat, Fred, and I are all standing in the kitchens, Fred and me playing guitar, and Nat singing the blues, all passing around an open bottle of wine. If you've never heard Natalia Tena sing the blues, you're missing out. At a couple of points, we even sang a bit together.
I'll get to the shows, the red carpet, and the media mingle later.
In the meantime, what's your very favorite post-show memory? Can be Wrock or not, and it needn't involve the band - it could be the fun you had grabbing food afterwards. This one's got to be close to my favorite, if not it.
I hope everyone had fun at Wrockstock II! And thanks to everyone who came out for the SuperCon show. Quite a time, yeah?
And now, your random fact for the day:
A cow's stomach has four compartments: the rumen, the recticulum (storage area), the omasum (where water is absorbed), and the abomasum ( the only compartment with digestive juices).
Wrock on!
